I often wonder what the inspiration behind a particular design is. In the case of this desk, it is clear.
Dutch designer Mieke Meijer gives new life to buildings photographed by Bernd and Hilla Becher in the mid 20th century. Calling it, “industrial archeology” Meijer plays with the scale and volume of this old plant to create a modular desk unit.
