As an experiment to see if they could change the behavior of people who took the escalator at a Stockholm subway station, the team behind The Fun Theory transformed the staircase to make it more enticing.

That certainly does make choosing the healthier option a whole lot more fun. What do you think? Would you take those stairs more than once?

That was great! I often take the stairs anyway, especially in busy places like airports, but making them fun would just brighten anyone's day! The stairs in the video are so much wider and roomier than the escalator that I would probably prefer them.

I usually go for the least crowded. What a great way to make people smile, get a little exercise and a way to slow the busy pace of everyday down a little! Nice music always makes people happier. I would definitely use these stairs, and maybe lose some weight too!

I tried to take the stairs as often as I can I have a problem on one knee so if I fell good that day I will take the stairs, but what a way to get your attention right, maybe its all just visual and that's why a lot of people take the escalator.

I wish that the ingenious use of these stairs had been around when I was younger. It has become harder to use the stairs and although I still try maybe this would have encouraged me to keep trying more.

That is an excellent ideal! You can use it as a destination marker. I would defiantly pick the stairs if we had stairs that fun. Isn’t a shame in this day in age you have to do this to get people to exercise more when you really think about it?

Companies need to realize this concept, the work place needs to evolve ! Imagine, all that creative energy is going to waste.
