The cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for 2011 has been revealed, and while everyone is ogling cover star Irina Shayk, I’m seriously lusting for these sleek and sexy designer pools. (Possible venues for future SI shoots? I think so.) Check out my five favorites, and try to keep the drooling to a minimum.

Surrounded by a natural, long-living privacy fence, this secluded swimming pool is truly a “what happens here, stays here” space. The warm color palette, soothing waterfalls and semi-tropical garden enhance the sex appeal. As for the large number of chairs for entertaining, I’d say two are plenty. Design by Jamie Durie

There’s nothing quite like dim landscape lighting and natural surroundings to set the mood for a heated night swim. It’s like a backyard Blue Lagoon. Design by Kerry Burt

Hot tub, burning fire, underwater lighting, flowing water features and mountain views. Enough said. Design by Scott Cohen

With views of the Pacific Ocean and Hollywood Hills, this stunning infinity-edge pool is a perfect fit for supermodels and those with an appreciation for luxurious living. Is it bathing suit weather, yet? Design by Lori Dennis

Jamie Durie knows how to bring the feel of a resort … home. I would love to take a dip in this crystal-clear pool, while enjoying the company of a frozen margarita. The submerged sunbathing pergolas come complete with linen curtains for shade … or complete privacy.

Great article! Beautiful pools. Gosh, I'd love to take a dip in any of those!
