Love the look of a vessel sink in the bathroom? A top-mounted, sculptural sink gives any bathroom the designer treatment. To me, adding a piece like this one from Modernbathroom.com to a bathroom vanity is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to makeover a washroom.

The master bathroom is the one, for sure! The fixtures and counters and sink are all "contractor" specials. It needs some TLC! A vessel sink would make the bathroom MUCH more elegant.

Definitely our master bath: 60s aqua blue teal over the walls And floor, step-down shower, wall mounted toilet– ugh!

  3. Tina says:

Of course any bathroom in our home would love a make-over. I would actually choose the guest bathroom. Simply because my guest deserve the best, because they are the best!

  4. Annette Caruso says:

I guess you would call it my guest bathroom, it is the second bath in the house. It needs to be redesigned at the shower can not be used because it leaks. The vanity, although I have tried to make it look updated, is very outdated, the floor is a horrible vinyl. The only good things in there are my son's photography and the shower curtain.

  5. Debbie says:

Only one bath remains to be done, the guest bath. The bathtub, from the 60's, is tiny. lighting from the 70's. wallpaper from the 80's. window shade from the 90's..let's modernize!

  6. Cindy F says:

Our bathroom is in great need of remodeling! There is 5 people in our house that use this bath. It has old brown tile on the floor and white tiles that go halfway up the wall. All fixtures including lights, fan, sink vanity, tub, and toilet are all from the 70's. It's all old and falling apart. Even when I clean it it looks dirty. I am so embarrassed when anyone comes over if they have to use the bathroom. It would really be nice to have it remodeled. We bought this house almost two years ago and are working a little at a time on things that need to be fixed and never seem to have the time or money for the bath. I love seeing Holmes on Homes remodel bathrooms. I just sit there and wish I could be that homeowner and walk into a bathroom like one of those every morning when getting ready to go to work. =)

  7. Dyana says:

My master bath- it is currently gray gray gray but I think this sink would look great in the main bathroom on the 1st floor. It's clean, modern and a show piece. It would add an instant update to an already outdated bath.

  8. butkus says:

My master bath! It is also the main bath. It is only divided by a pocket door! I pray my guest never open that door : )

  9. Yvette says:

My masterbath is in desperado need of a make over. My place is 20+yrs old and I've been in it for almost 7 yrs. I've not had much money to do "major" remodels, but would love to redo bathrooms and kitchen. The stand alone shower is soo small you hit the wall if you turn in any direction. The linolieum (sp?) floor has to go ….. help make my bathroom over from beast to beauty ! Thank you

  10. Toni O'Neal says:

We are in the process of remodeling out 100 year old farm house and we are adding a bathroom upstairs where all the bedrooms are… only one bath just doesn't do it with 5 in the home!!

  11. Kim Kempton says:

My main bathroom; I have 1970′s green sink, toilet and shower/tub. I’ve updated the rest of my home and even painted the bathroom, installed bead board and replaced the flooring….having this sink would be the extra push I need to replace the vanity then toilet. I have to live with the shower/tub as I don’t think I can replace that by myself….thanks for this opportunity.

  12. michelle says:

Well, my master bathroom is also my guest bathroom and my kids so I need LOTS of help for it! We just started to remodel our outdated 1950's bathroom. We started with the floor and now we are saving up more money to do the rest. I just saw this same sink on an HGTV episode this morning. I thought it looked amazing! This is exactly what I need to help updating our bath.

  13. Jo Wilaby says:

Guest Bath – has pink counter top and mold everywhere – getting ready to remodel the whole thing, and this sink would really look nice in there and give me a starting point.

  14. JulieJae says:

Our master bath is in DESPERATE need of a make over. When we moved in, we found it painted purple with silver dry brushed over it. Then, over that, we found grey butterflies stamped all over it. Now, that would have been tolerable, but they also painted the purple/silver on all of the woodwork, from the vanity to the baseboard to the doors. It also had purple carpet in it.
We thought that we would be able to take on the project until we pulled back the carpet to find that they had tried to remove the linoleum, but it was glued to the floor. They pulled up all of the corners and then gave up.
SO, a new vessel sink would be a good kick off point to a redo for the master bath!!

  15. Rachael says:

Our whole house needs a remodel! But this sink would look AWESOME in my master bathroom (I've been secretly coveting a vessel sink for that room for a year!) : )

  16. Mary Hartpence says:

Definately my Master Bath. It's dated 1993, has floral wallpaper, pink marbled floor & vanity, NEVER used spa tub & an unlevel floor to stub toes on! I'd love a sleek, calm, luxurious room w/ walk in shower.
We've not started this project cause 20 months ago I "moved home" to be with my sister who had been diagnosed w/ pancreatic cancer. Her death in July 2009 devastated our family. After she died I stayed to help her children and her husband. Then in Oct my father was told that he had metatastic bone cancer.
My husband encouraged my decision to stay in MA to help my mother. There has been quite a bit of cleaning out and sorting through what Dad called "Our Inheritance".
For almost two years, I have been visiting my husband. A new Master Bath would be a fabulous "Welcome Home"!

  17. Catrina says:

I've got a full bath & a half bath, but the full bath definitely needs fixing. Bath tub faucet is leaking, the floor is bowed. The vanity doors had been painted before we bought the house & the paint is chipping. The toilet is 3 gal…I could go on & on. The rest of the house needs work too. ALL the floors need redone. Kitchen needs redone as well. Then there's the deck & the rest of the yard. Anything that will help with remodeling, I'll take! Plus, I WANT a top mount sink!

  18. JulieA says:

Our one and only full bath is tiny, 5'x5.5' and right off the kitchen. A glass vessel sink would/could be viewed from the kitchen and be a *darn* sight better than the clunk 80's pressed board vanity that's in there now. We three adults who inhabit the house would thank you (profusely) and so would all our guests (everyone ends up in the kitchen ~ or the bath). We beg of you. We are worthy.

  19. DEBBIE says:

My bathroom needs remodeling, I live in an old farm house ..my sink cabinet is blue..I my bathroom is small and could be expanded….I would like tiled shower walls altho I love my bathtub…I think I would keep my bathtub..but get rid of everthing else..

  20. Christine says:

oh. defininetly the master bath-if you could call it that. It is a 7 foot x 8 foot space you have to walk thru to get to the closet. 1 sink, oak cabinet with no storage, vinyl floor press-in-place tiles, 2.5 x 2.5 walk-in shower, toilet hidden by a half wall, big useless garden tub taking up half the room, 1 hollywood strip light. Ugh. Painted cabinet white to neutralize the 80's look but…..have to store my towels on the bathtub and my laundry in the tub.

  21. Beverly Royden says:

Our masterbath: it looks like something from the 1950's

  22. Andrea says:

My master bath. We don't even have a closet for towels!

  23. Colleen says:

Guest bathroom in the basement because we don't really have a master only one working bathroom on the main floor! The downstairs bathroom that was really never finished from previous owners has been gutted even more by us and never been able to complete…you can flush the only thing in there-the toilet if you dump a bucket of water in it really fast! Two working bathrooms with a family of three with one on the way would be a true blessing!

  24. Candace says:

Hands down, the Master Bath. Very tiny, and exactly as it was when the house was built in 1957. YIKES! Cubical shower in the corner – don't even think of bending over – unless of course you want the door to pop open! And there is that lovely mint green 4" ceramic tile – walls, shower – ugh. Perfect spot for a vessel sink as nothing else will fit there! It's a little nook. No electrical outlets. I think there used to be one on the light fizture about the sink, but that is long gone. Oh! And there is still the gas asbestos heater unit in the wall… And no vent. What were they thinking when they designed this?

  25. Jennie B. says:

Definitely the kid's bathroom!! We desperately need to convert it to a full bath from the teensy half bath they currently have using part of the attic space available! Then my husband and I won't have to share a shower with two pre-teens anymore! That would make me oh so happy! :)

  26. Diane Hriczko says:

Definitely the master bath. I always end up putting my needs last.

  27. Linda S says:

No master suite in our 60 year old house. Main bathroom is functioning but in need of an upgrade. The only thing that functions in our guest/powder room is the commode. Sink and shower have been out of commission for years … both are on my wish list …

  28. Andi says:

Our master bathroom for sure. When we had a bad hurricane in 2005 we had our ceiling redone and they did the drywall but nothing else. We haven't had the time or $ to put into it & it is SO outdated with cheap fixtures from 1983. Nothing would make me happier than renovating our bathroom. The beautiful sink would be the 1st step to a beautiful room.

  29. Amanda A says:

My master bathroom is orange and cramped. A new coat of paint and a sink, like the one above, would definitely help make my bathroom look more spacious and clean.

  30. Hello! First of all I have to say I love HGTV. I usually watch HGTV all day. My son and I have one bathroom. I am praying that God will make a way for us to get our bathroom remodeled and having this sink would be a blessing to our home and an answer to my prayer. Thank you and God bless you for this wonderful opportunity.

  31. odelljr says:

Why not is there an update show of income property with Scott McGillivary?

  32. Andrea says:

Well…considering that the guest bathroom shower is gutted (unusable) but the master bathroom toilet is disconnected (unusable), this is a tough call, but I think I'm going to say the master bathroom. Especially since the new jetted tub for the master bathroom is being stored in the gutted shower downstairs in the guest bathroom. Yes, we are a hot mess!

  33. Tracey says:

Our master bath. We only have two bathrooms. The second bathroom in our basement was recently gutted & refinished due to a basement flood. Our master bath has a pink tub and gold flecked tile on the walls and floor. This new vessel sink would really help us get started with a reno.

  34. Mary Dailey says:

My guest bathroom needs a floor and organization since it is small.
My sons took the carpeting out but never finished putting the flooring.

  35. Rich Sanfilippo says:

The kids bathroom. Two boys have used that room for 15 years – need I say more? I'm thinking we need the nuclear option …

  36. Ron Miller says:

the bathroom, to small, we need to knock down walls

  37. Tricia E. says:

I'd say the master bath cause mom and dad need something pretty to look at in the morning!

  38. June says:

Our guest bathroom IS our master bath and kids bath! And, it's got pink walls and a green tub!

  39. jmenor3 says:

I find it AMAZING that so many folks are worried about their "dated" bathroom, but they want to install a VESSEL SINK! Give that sucker 5-10 years, it's going to look completely ridiculous.

  40. B&J says:

Our master bath. We moved into out home just over a year ago. We have one shower for a family of 6 which is in the master bath. With 4 teenagers plus us, it gets used a lot;) The shower is now full of mold up one whole wall, and possibly termites. We are no longer using the shower, and will have to redo it as soon as we are able. A new glass sink would be wonderful to put in and we would definitly use and enjoy it. Thank-you for the opportunity to win.

  41. Debbie S-Z. says:

I would love to have this sink for our main bathroom, please. We haven't had it remodeled since we've own our home (2000). The 1960's green tiles are falling off the wall, and breaking. Behind the tile wall I see plywood showing through. the tub surround we have held together with duct tape. The tub spickets have water that drips out the back of them, when on. Some of the floor tiles are cracked. The medicine cupboard has peeling paint inside on the shelves, (it's the original from 1950's. Bathroom door has a hole in it at the bottom. We installed a great fan last year.

  42. M M Summers says:

Master bath for sure! When the house was built (not by us!), the tile was laid on OSB instead of cement board. So, all of the mortar has sunk into the OSB and all of the tiles are loose. The faucet for the sink is the cheapest you can buy – with the clear plastic handles. YUCK! I LOVE vessel sinks and this one is gorgeous and timeless!

  43. Jspotts410 says:

We are first time homeowners. I would have to say our guest bathroom. It is very small & cramped. There is no tub or mirror in the restroom. Yes, a bathroom without a mirror! Sad, huh? Also the toilet or the sink must be leaking because water sometimes pushes through the cracks of the laminate flooring & it is warped. Also, the laminate wood flooring was poorly done & there are gaps between some of the pieces. It is very dull & this sink would help spice it up!

Our guest bathroom for sure is in more need of a remodeling … it's been around since '83 and needs an uplift and updating to make it appealing, that's what I'm looking for…this sink would be a great addition..<3

  46. nermalsmom says:

Definitely the master bath. Dark wallpaper, really old toilet. Just haven't had the time or money to do it yet. This cool sink would certainly point us in the right direction!

  47. Sweet1plum2000 says:

Has to be my master bathroom. The stand up shower has loose tiles on the wall. The glass on the side has a huge crack down it. The countertops are old and oudated. The tub is a decoration. The tile on the floor is half completed, and the toilet is sitting on the back deck. Seriously – we would love to have this beautiful sink.

  48. Karen Clabaugh says:

Our master bath! Just bought a house (new to us) but not new and the guest bath had been redone.. was going to work on the master – it is tiny and it is like walking into a time warp, when a simple "project" of taking a "non"- support wall down to make two small bedrooms one big one .. was done.. needless to say, the project has taken a life of its own on and the new roof will go on house when weather warms up.. who knows when the bathroom will get done now!

  49. GiGi says:

Being we only have one bathroom in our … less than 900 sq ft … home … I would have to say that our one & only bath needs remodeling! It serves as the master, guest, & kids bath! It's truly in need of help, being it's a hodge podge mix of this & that … whatever we could afford at the time anything was repaired in this 78 yr old homestead. Thanks … in advance … for the assistance!

  50. simplydab says:

My master bathroom needs updating the most – the cheap fiberglass shower surround, chipped counter, no storage and outdated lighting all need replacing. This vessel sink would be awesome to win to start my remodeling process :)
