I can wait for Emily's new show just 4 more day's I think my style would be traditional with a little bit of modern and about the couch in the picture I love the color is it Teal?
Go upload some pics — Emily could diagnose your style! http://my.hgtv.com/secrets-from-a-stylist/multiga… And yep, I'd call that teal.
For years my style has been traditional, but I'm drawn to the Tuscan look. Not sure how to combine that look with what I have. Would love to have some help on that!
What? a brand new couch? I guess you didn't go with the 'use what you have' idea she originally had!
Actually, that was the other blonde design star girl's idea. Emily's original idea was an outfit to room show, but she adjusted it a bit when she realized there was already a show like that on the Style network.
And Emily picked up the couch at a flea market and had it recovered.
It's actually vintage.
Love Love Love the couch! Totally my style! <3
Love Love Love the couch! Totally my style! <3
Would like to see a primitive/folk art style with a very warm and welcoming feel..
Why put this show on Saturday??? Looks like a great show.. Viewership will be down due to the day. You need to realign the weeks schedule. Too much House Hunter, Property Vrgins and they are all reruns.
Saturday night is HGTV's prime time. All of the big designers get their shows on Sat night. It does seem odd, but I guess they can't compete with the network prime time and it works great for DVR!
Yeah your right. But HGTV needs to scrap all these reruns….. Its getting boring. I Love HGTV and would rather watch their shows during primetime than the other networks. At least HGTV's stuff makes sense and is great for the whole family to watch.
I agree. They should change the network name to The Real Estate Network.
I agree enough with the HOUSE HUNTERS……
I agree….this show should be on a weekday evening…maybe Sunday night would work too. I'm losing interest in the repeat shows that are are becoming boring. But I still LOVE HGTV!
i love her style, it's different from the everyday… can't wait to watch her show and see her shine.
I hope that Emily will take in account that they are many people out there that have older homes to decorate. I have a 1932 tudor home and a lot of the program seem to go totally modern. Please throw in a little diy for the older homes!
That would be nice for both of us. Pet friendly wouldn't hurt either.
I WANT THAT COUCH. Where is it and how can I get it? That's the name of it? Who makes it? Love, love, love, love, love, love, LOVE THAT COUCH. Tiny little hearts are floating out of my eyes right now.
Getting really disappointed with HGTVs "designers" spreading really bad design throughout the country. Her sense of scale is all off. And whats being shown as "Hollywood Regency" is not so. At least there is a show on HGTV that is NOT about real estate or staging. Whatever happened to showing great design from great designers? I realize you need to give a show to the "winners" of Design Star…but please
I have to agree…..
where can you purchase the acrylic chandelier ?
Sorry, I don't like her style at all.
Personally I thought her style was very refreshing and different. It's time for a change!
some interesting methods used which I really enjoy…
BUT in reviewing how to get her to personally makeover a room , the age range is 25-45…so, does that mean anyone over 45 need NOT watch her show??? I find it apalling that an age range be identified as a requirement. So style has a shelf life? I could go on, but being over 45 and very much in tune with style, I guess I had better use the little time I have left for more worthwhile endeavors, like looking for an assisted living complex and designing my next digs!
Age range? When has there ever been an age range on design or style? Our desires to live in a beautiful home don't change when we hit 46+. I personally, would love to have Emily Henderson, come to my home and redo a room for my husband and I. The creativity it took to come up with the Design Diagnostic keeps me tuning in. So, don't write off anyone who is 46+ we may have grown up with Mid Century Modern, Survived Teal & Lacquer furnishings of the 80's, and Distressed some flea market finds in the 90's but we still want to feather our nests whether we are right sizing or adding on to our homes to welcome the second and third generations to live with us.
Very disappointed with the show. I feel the home owners sometimes are faking their enthusiasm for the finished design. The differences between the 1st attempt and the 2nd attempt are drastic. Why not start with the wall finish that is a winner first, instead going from one extreme to the next? Maybe the homeowners give more input than we see on TV. Anyway, I really hate all the "vintage" junk that looks like it was in my grandmother's garage for 40 years. It's great to find these treasures, but refinish them or spruce them up so they don't look like roadside trash pick up. I loved watching Emily win Design Star, but her show is disappointing. But I will continue to give it a chance.
Is there a questionnaire that I can look over that will diagnosis my style? We are about to buy a home and I need to know my style and my husband's style.
I would also like to take a style diagnostic with my husband. Please let me know if there is a place somewhere on this website or another one to do this. I love Saturday nights with HGTV with Cash and Cari, Curb Appeal the Block, Color Splash and Secrets of a Stylist. Love the line up. Looking forward to HGTV'd too.
THE SHOW IS JUST AWFUL! EVERY THING THAT SHE SOES LOOKS LIKE A CHEAP GARAGE SALE IN ACTION, WHY CAN;T SHE USE FURNITURE THAT LOOKS NEW ? ALSO, HER END RESULT HAS TOO MANY DIFFERENT COLORS THAT DON'T COORDINATE!
After searching all over the US and Canada, is she the best you could come up with? Big waste of your money and my time!
Maybe complaining about the show isn't the best way to utilize your time either…just saying.
I love this show and Emily! I think she is adorable and I love her style. I will be recording this on dvr forever.
I adore Emily. Martha, I would be love to see your home. I bet it looks dreadful if you think Emily's choice of antiques and colors look like a garage sale. Well done Emily…you are eclectic and innovative!
I love this show. It helps me understand how to combine my love of old treasures with modern conveniences.
Love Emily, love the show, but would perfer it on during the week you have to many house hunters, and curb appeals during the week, Emily we would love for you to do our bedroom how can we get in touch with you, the room doesn't have to be featured on tv. Let me know if your available.
Love Emily! Yes I agree with Denise you need to be aired more! Emily I also need help with my living room. Please let me know me too when you're available. You are so welcome to redo it!
Love the show Emily, on one of your first shows you did a wall bookcase of a friends house it was great. The shelves were all different sizes and shapes. It was not a traditional book case. Loved it! We are going to remodel our family room and I want my husband to build one just like it, but I can't find a photo any where. Any chance I can get a photo? PLEASE!!!!
I really like the concept of this show. It is very unique. I enjoy the two separate looks because it gives me twice as many ideas and concepts to think about for my own home. I feel like I am getting SO much information from this program. I love Emily and think she is doing a great job. Please, please, please keep this show!
Love this show! I get so many ideas each time.
I love Emily's style diagnostics. Its so fun to see the
combinations of so many different looks. I like that she
gets excited about each persons' style even if it's totally
different than her own. The eclectic and unique designs
make it my favorite design show- helpful and entertaining.
We are ready to be on the show!
Love this new show and Emily! I've gotten tired of Candice's super expensive designs that no one can afford and love that Emily and Genevieve seem to teach as they go. Love it! Thanks HGTV
I really think Emily's style is cheap and has a garage sale look. You don't have to be traditional in order to appreciate a good look but her designs are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!
This show is SO disappointing. She is not talented – my friends could do better than this. Can't believe she is the winner. Maybe better next season…
This series will not last…
This is the best show on hgtv …. Can't wait for the new season to start!
