It’s pretty obvious by now that I’m an unapologetic bibliophile, so I’m delighted when I stumble across a design that pays homage to the printed word.

This cafe, located inside the McNally Jackson bookstore in downtown Manhattan (one of my favorites), was redesigned by Front Studio Architects with the directive that it should be evocative of literature. Book pages line the walls and whole tomes hover overhead in dramatic light fixtures. I’d say they beautifully achieved the objective with just the right amount of whimsy.

Very interesting! It's really nice to see some of the most diversed and interesting designs from modern designers and aspirants. Thanks as always! Euro 2012 Soccer Jerseys
I love the books on the hanging lamps over the bar, tho the ones hanging in the middle of the room make me want to duck.
Someone tell cari cucksey to get a dictionary, "dungiest", really?
*heart*
I like it; short of love.
