This week’s Freebie Friday is in honor of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments. I love my inherited wrought-iron chandelier and brass candlesticks, but they don’t jive with the contemporary design of my home. How do I modernize a 120-year-old piece of working art and grandma’s hand-me-downs? With decorative candle sleeves, of course! (Seriously, why didn’t I think of that?) Kaarskoker is the colorful alternative to cracked and yellowed candle sleeves on a chandelier…bling for boring old candlesticks. Simply slide on one of their 100+ patterns (some for under $10/pair), and you’ve got an instant update for your room.

Kaarskoker wants to glam up your tablesetting, mantel or light fixtures with your choice of a pair of silver or brass candlesticks (brass is back, you know) and three sets of candle sleeves (I love kkHoundstooth & kkPeacock). There will be two winners, so answer this week’s question before 12/11c Monday, March 14, for a chance to win.
This week’s question: When do your candlesticks get used? Holiday parties? Romantic dinners? Power outages only?

I use my candlesticks mostly for decoration, they are about 10 years old and really need to be updated. I would love to have a pair that''s more up to date and interchangeable.
Wow…what a cool idea to change things up. It's like redecorating every weekend…..
I don't own any candlesticks, but would love to have a beautiful pair like those pictured.
Day/night in, day/night out. Changes the whole vibe in the room. Plus, helps to diffuse the look if I have not had time to swipe a dustcloth. Some formal pairs, some mishmashed groups, love 'em all!
Mine never get put away and they are lit for company or on cleaning days to mask the odors!
A new outfit for the candle sticks? Great idea for spring!
I light candle sticks every time a guest is over for dinner! I also have a wall sconce that holds a handle stick and light it when I am setting the mood in the living room.
i don't have any…but would sit them out all the time if I did.
When my candlesticks aren't the flicking romantic center of attention during a special occasion, I create a vignette with a cluster of them in various heights & styles — perfect for mantels or the top of an armoire.
Don't have candlesticks. Feel left out….lol. Would love to have these and they would be great in our new house. Retired and moved to AZ and we're in the middle of decorating. The only candles we use right now are jar candles or tea lights.
Candlesticks are always out. Candles are lighted for dinner, holidays, etc. My husband says I already have too many sets, but those are really cute…
I have candlesticks out as part of my decorating, but they are not on the table as a focal point. I keep many candles in the freezer. Just in case. But my candles/candlesticks get used for special occasions
Im slightly obsessed with candles, and graphic designs, so this deal is perfect!!! If I won, I'd be switching up designs every day!! Love this giveaway
When are my candlesticks used? We use them on the weekends when we sit down for a family dinner!
I use mine for special occasions and to decorate for the holidays.
Sadly, I do not hav a pair of candlesticks.
If I did, I think I would display them on my dining room table for special occassions, such as holiday dinners, etc. I always love to decorate the table for such affairs.
I've never bought candlesticks because I've never found some that quite seem to fit my ever-changing style moods. Candlestick sleeves is a great idea!
I have 2 pairs of candlesticks out as decor in different places in my home.
I bring out the silver ones on Friday eves for Shabbat candle lighting. ( A jewish family tradition)
Candlesticks are never out at my house. I don't have any. If I did they would be out on the table
How cool that so many of us LOVE candles, and use them as permanent decor. I like to light all my candles, and turn out all the lights. SOOOOOOOOO romantic!
My candles get used everyday! There too pretty to dave for special occasions
Mine are behind glass in a hutch. I take them out often though for special dinners, parties etc…
All of the time…even when its just for me!
Our Candlesticks are out all the time. They sit on the altar and are used pretty often during prayer time.
during blackouts
I love to have candles burning so my candle sticks get heavy use. I love this idea for the candle stick sleeve and in such great colors and designs.
My candle sticks are used for power outage only….
My candle sticks come out according to my seasonal decor. Summer time, (hurricane season,) is when they see the most use.
That is a great idea! I currently do not have candlesticks, but now that I know about these sleeves, I think I might go out, be thrifty, and find some candlesticks at a consignment shop. New center piece! whoop whoop
I love using candles in the bathroom while taking a bath, I've seen it in a movie but it is better in real life. I also love romantic candle lit dinners or even cuddling on the couch while the candles are lit.
I have several sets of candlesticks out all the time and use candles almost every night. i am a candle lover. I have them in bathrooms and my bedroom
I love candles….I keep candles/candle sticks out all the time however I have more around at Christmas.
My candle sticks stay out but are not used unless it is a romantic dinner (and how often does that happen). It just seems so wasteful of my pretty perfectly matched sticks!
I started using candles on the table when my kids were little. I used anything that would give my kids a motivation to have family time around the evening meal. Now, my son is in his thirties and he loves to have candles in his home. I think burning candles at a evening helps bond families together. But, I am a romantic anyway.
Whenever anyone comes over =) Such a good way to cover up the odor of our adorable and loveable, but sometimes stinky Roxy dog and Hurley cat!
Usually when I have company over for dinner but sometimes I like to pull them out and use them in the evenings just for the ambience
We'll use them for special events like evening weddings and such.
I like mixing contemporary with traditional to add character and history to the modern style!
