A simple dining table made from 2-by-4s becomes magical with a simple “hack.”

I don’t know how many times I’ve been the builder of sheet and sofa-cushion forts, but something as ingenious as this dining table conversion sure would’ve made it a lot easier. Mounted on the underside of the table are roller shades which can be pulled down to transform an otherwise mundane spot into a fantastic fort.

    Genius! My dining room table was once covered with sheets for an entire summer with pillows, comforters, flashlights, dolls and little girls under it. My daughter slept in her tent every night until school started. The morning she woke up to go back to school she said, "I forgot how comfortable my bed was!"
