The abandoned 16th Street Station in Oakland, CA is showcased on the Infrastructure theme of the brilliant photo site Pictory this month. Sadly, it is proof that we’re all too often ready to discard beauty for the sake of convenience. There may be a glimmer of hope for this building’s reuse in the future, but not all those that are endangered will fare so well. So remember to hug your favorite buildings today and share your love of good design.
