Our Living Room Mood Board

On a rainy morning like today, there’s nothing better than creating a mood board for your dream spaces, yes? Surely it’s not just me? Anyway, I mocked up some plans for my future living room:

Our living room is a small, cozy blank slate where we plan to watch TV, snack and nap all the live long day. Sounds swell, I know. You can come, too (only if you like Dala horses!):

Here’s hoping it looks this good when we put everything together! I’m not sure about that shaggy rug, so it’s highly likely I’ll be switching it out for a patterned dhurrie, but in the meantime, I love how cozy it feels.

And guess what? In our next video, set to run on April 29, I’ll show you how everything comes together! Give me a few weeks to order my goodies and let the games begin!

  1. this is just a question I want to ask : I can't afford to buy new vertical blinds for my living room, we are having it repainted, I was just wondering is there anything I can do to change the color, like maybe paint them ?? I can't stand the color anymore ,they are mauve, and I would like to have them more of a cream or tan color. I hope there is something I can do. Please let me know if there is any ideas.
    Thank You,
    Mona, Oak Lawn, IL.

    • A number of years ago I painted some vinyl verticals or whatever they were made of and they turned out fine, I done a kind of sponge painting on them just on the side facing in. The side facing out was left alone as it was an off white anyway.
