I admit that I was shocked to hear that there was a such an law was on the books in this densely packed, land-starved city. So I wanted to celebrate this smart, green rule on Earth Day and show you the gorgeous way MESH Architects accommodated it in this North Brooklyn home with a center atrium. The HGTV concept of a green house is laughable. I just watched the program on buying green in Issaquah. The only thing green about this hideous development is the energy star rating of the appliances and windows. Really? How efficient is a 3,000+ square foot mansion. The appliances may be efficient, but there are at least 2 ovens (one house had 3) — fireplaces all over the place, giant bathrooms with spa tubs and showers with multiple heads. Seriously….this is a joke!

I really like a lot of the programs on this channel, but I believe you really need to re-think your idea of a green house.
