Our very own Kelley Walters was just telling me yesterday about her adventures in beginner beekeeping. I was determined to find a “beautiful” beehive to share with you all.

Apparently, when you’ve got a good design, you don’t mess with it. Beehives won’t be changing any time soon. In the research, though, I found a trove of great bee-inspired designs. This gorgeous bedding with screen-printed bees was among the best. And after watching this beekeeping video,  I think the sheets are more my speed.

I've been seriously considering keeping bees myself! When checking out hives, I did find this unique option called the Omlet Beehaus:

They are pretty expensive and I don't know if they are any better. The inside is still basically the same, but the exterior has been modernized and they come in a range of fun colors. If Kelley decides to get one, let me know what she thinks!

I've been keeping bees for 5 years and I love it. It can be challenging but the rewards are amazing. I learn a lot from the bees about behaviour in a social society. They set quite the example. Many women are getting into beekeeping now which is great. In the winter months I continue with my obession of collecting everything bee related… like these lovely bee sheets! I have a web site with info on bees if anyone is interested. It's http://www.bee-magic.com

  5. Utterly written subject material, thankyou for selective information.
