The official first day of summer is mere weeks away. Temperatures are heating up across the country. And the sun doesn’t set now until after dinner. It’s time to celebrate life outdoors. To get our Design Happens readers ready for the season of barbecue get-togethers, graduation parties and three-day holiday weekends, we’re giving away awesome outdoor furniture and decor from Frontgate every Friday in May.

Since many parts of the nation are still experiencing chilly evening temps, this week’s giveaway is a copper fire pit. Copper is one of the absolute best conductors of heat, making this one of the best fire pits on the market. We want you to take one home! Just leave us a comment before 12/11c on Monday, May 9th to be entered into the random drawing.
This week’s question: What stylish additions help make your outdoor space party ready? Tiki torches, colorful outdoor pillows, hurricane lamps, fun outdoor dinnerware?

Concrete block wall in the back, still trying to 'parge' (stucco) it, raised patio with stones with half stucco wall planter and seating – working on the water feature, a disappearing waterfall. Patio furniture bought on sale in the fall, still looking for a great rug, and would LOVE a firepit! The nice ones are so expensive!
Sit my the fire ..under the stars..in my backyard..listening to the crickets ..awww relaxing!
OH MY…I would LOVE this!!!After many years of wishing,I now have a fixer-upper.I watch ALL of your house hunting shows….Income Property….My First Place…etc. and my most favorite is Homes Inspection….I love Holmes!!!!I am single(not a come-on…lol)and I have learned sooo much from him…he is sooo cool….I lost my desire of fixing anything up after unsuccessfully for 10ish yrs. of finding nothing that I could afford or just felt right…I have NOW found that place….I am so ready to get my hands in the dirt and paint on my shirt,,,you guys have helped with that inspiration….I watch HGTV every night from 10pm until I fall asleep….and I would LOVE to have this firepit for my soon to be outside excape!!!!I have looked at many, but that isn't a neccessity at the moment…BUT it is something I would LOVE to have…
Our northern climate outdoor space needs this firepit to keep us warm! *shiver shiver*
i would love to win this copper fire pit…and would love for someone to come and redo my backyard…we have a large yard with a swimming pool and an old high covered car port we use as a patio…the previous owners had a motorhome they stored in there…have so many ideas as to what to do with our yard, yet not enough mula to do the whole shebang at once!! if you are looking to remake a yard in whitter california, i'm the one!
chimes and bird feeders are always a warm welcoming to anyone!! I love all the birds here and you just can't have enough bird houses or feeders-I think anyways!
I would enjoy comfortable seating around that great fire pit
After two years in our house we finally got a set of deck furniture. A firepit would be the perfect addition for entertaining our large family.
I have the perfect spot for this beautiful fire pit!
It all begins with the entrance and first impressions .. my choice for a lovely, warm evening of entertainment would be solar lights lining every walkway .. how inviting is that ..
I think a fire place is the best accessory when you have children who love to be outside. We spend our nights gazing at the stars and making smores in our old pit, but is getting run down from the weather conditions here. I would really like to replace it.
This is our first summer in our house, so we have a lot of basic accessorizing to do. I love bistro tables with hurricane lamps, but will probably go with loveseats and coffee table for more seating. This copper firepit would be a great starting piece!
Living in the desert means the copper fire pit can (and will!) be used all year long…
I like it all !! We have an outdoor Pavillion and are in process of building an outdoor kitchen/adjoining it.
Comfortable outdoor furniture and an outdoor pizza oven/fireplace is great for family get togethers or outdoor gatherings..
Comfy/stylish place to sit, lighting, family, good friends and gorgeous firepit to make it all complete!
Just what we could use as we sit outside a lot!
i LOVE copper anything-so natch I would absolutely love to have this fire pit….ooooh pick me!!
Tiki bar and great friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A firepit would be ideal, we have the perfect place for it. Absolutely love Frontgate catalog…awesome things. Watch HGTV daily…my favorite channel.
I don't know why I haven't left a comment, but wanted HGTV to know I watch you every day! You have given me new ideas and when I saw the firepit I thought I would comment. It is totally beautiful! I could get much joy and relaxation from sitting in the evening and unwinding from the days activities. Keep up the good programing on HGTV, you all are a great source of entertainment for me!
Moving to a new house that has a great backyard and a huge empty patio area. This firepit would be an enormously awesome boost!!
We are just starting to create an outdoor space, so at this point, I think anything would make it fabulous!
We live in the mountains and frequently sit out and enjoy the quiet and watch the stars. I have outdoor seating that has nice pillows so we can lay back cozy with our blankets while we visit, but the copper fire pit would be the icing on the cake. I have looked at many of them over the years and by far Frontgate outshines them all!! I have been saving my money because I want the spark screen and the protective cover to go with it.
I hung colorful sheer curtains for my underdeck space and patio lights! it looks amazing! I love HGTV – we watch all the time!
A firepit like this would greatly add to our backyard area. When we have a party, we put up a tent, tiki torches, lots of tables/chairs. The fire pit would add another spot for people to gather besides the pool.
That is a beautiful fire pit.
I'm working on our patio now, a firepit would be the perfect addition.
I love fun lights and colorful accents like pillows and flowers to make our outdoor space more party ready! Having a fire pit would be a great addition!
We are recently retired, just bought our house in December. We have a small concrete patio we would like to expand. We are working on making a personal retreat in our yard. That process is just beginning. We live in NC so our time to enjoy the outdoors is a long season or two of the year. We want a fire pit and this would be a great starting point. We could work around this, and on retirement income would be grand!! This is gorgeous!! Love the HGTV shows and my husband and I watch them, especially the yard shows. We love yard crashers–just watched it this morning!!
This firepit is amazing!! The perfect place to roast marshmallows on a cool summer evening. This would be a perfect asset to my backyard!!
We are having several children celebrations this summer and would love a firepit to have a S'mores party!
I love grounding my outdoor spaces with an indoor/outdoor rug. It just makes the "room" so cozy!
Nothing better than sitting outside by the fire on a cool summer night!!
living in rural Maine, we get more than our share of annoying bugs. Hard to sit outside when you are swatting the black flies, mosquitos, etc. I think a fire pit would help keep those buggers away!
Beautiful fire pit.
We're turning our former children's play area into an adult sitting area. A beautiful fire pit would be a great addition.
Fun lighting via firepit, candles and torches.
This would look great on my redesigned patio area!
Tiki torches are nice but to add a fire pit going makes a nice spot to gather and have fun. Something about having a "camp fire" going changes the feel.
I love this….I have wanted a firepit for so long , but money has been tight! It would be great in the back yard …the six yr old is always wanting to roast marshmellows lol
This is the best time of the year for us here in Hawaii. The spring weather is perfect for outdoor parties. It's not too cool and it's not too hot. So, spending time outdoors with family and good friends is an absolute must. We are redoing our deck with plastic looking wood that doesn't need to be treated. It will not rust or get water rot. We're excited to decorate with must have new outdoor furniture, more lanterns and tiki torches.
We have a great pool area in our back yard and this year I have decided to spray paint our tan color lawn furniture a bright yellow and Im working on finding some neat cushions to go with it. This firepit would be a welcomed addition to our poolside living.
That firepit would be great for these Colorado evenings!
This would be great start to remodeling my outdoor space.
I would love to have this firepit and put it next to a pond we plan on building.
Since I live in an apartment and the outdoor space is very limited, I would say colorful pillows..
Perfect for cocktails!
An outdoor space that's party ready starts with great furniture! Maybe it's a bistro set for casual dining, or a simple bench or swing for reading a good book. You can never go wrong with a fabulous dining table and colorful umbrella. Top it off with an area for lounging on a sofa or chair set by the firepit, and you're ready for great conversation and fun under the sun!
I have a very small backyard so light is important. Colored lights hanging on the fence help to light up the area.
