The official first day of summer is mere weeks away. Temperatures are heating up across the country. And the sun doesn’t set now until after dinner. It’s time to celebrate life outdoors. To get our Design Happens readers ready for the season of barbecue get-togethers, graduation parties and three-day holiday weekends, we’re giving away awesome outdoor furniture and decor from Frontgate every Friday in May.

Since many parts of the nation are still experiencing chilly evening temps, this week’s giveaway is a copper fire pit. Copper is one of the absolute best conductors of heat, making this one of the best fire pits on the market. We want you to take one home! Just leave us a comment before 12/11c on Monday, May 9th to be entered into the random drawing.
This week’s question: What stylish additions help make your outdoor space party ready? Tiki torches, colorful outdoor pillows, hurricane lamps, fun outdoor dinnerware?

Colorful furniture/pillows, candles, flowers/plants and this firepit would top it off to make it party ready.;)
Here in New England we use fire pits from early spring to late in winter. They add such a cozy ambience to anyones outdoor living space. I just bought a small cottage with a patio and it would be great to see this beauty in my backyard.
Colorful tabelware, linens and strings of lights around the deck! would love to add this fire pit!!
This firepit would be just the thing that would make my outdoor space party ready. Love it.
Our families' style is "re-used and multi-purpose" so we enjoy incorporating old wooden baskets (like pie baskets) into table settings to hold silverware, napkins, etc., as well as utilizing the classic 1960's tapestry throw on everything from table (as a tablecloth) to a shawl on a cool summer night, to a throw on an outside chair.
We don't have a stylish Frontgate firepit yet, but I am sure that if we did, we may not have to use the 1960's throw as a shawl anymore
This BEAUTIFUL copper fire pit, of course! !!
Also, some kind of water feature/fountian would be a pleasant addition. Gosh, I so HOPE I win! Thank you for the opportunity and a chance to win the outdoor copper fire pit.
Our parties consist of a lot of children so our "decor" means a swing set, a play house and too many toys to count. This fire pit would make for an awesome adult area! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Nothing like sitting outside, roasting marshmellows, making sores & having good conversation with family & friends around a lovely fire…..another way to enjoy the great outdoors!
That would be smores not sores! LOL
We would love to have that firepit for when our children's friends come over and they could roast marshmallows, hot dogs, etc. P.S. Their friends hang out here every Saturday night to play games and such!
We have nothing in our yard…this would be a great start!
I love sitting around a firepit, relaxed in a comfy adirondack chairs, I always have still buckets filled with ice to house the wine and beers, love the presentation of colored pillows and blanckets tossed on some of the chairs. Siiting around the firepit, sharing stories and laughter, feeling the warmth of the firepit.
I would love to have a beautiful fire pit and be all nice and cozy !!!!
A good way to decorate outdoors is with a Fire Pot. You can add citronella gel to it and kill to birds with one stone
This copper fire pit is one of the best looking I have seen. Undoubtedly, it will heat a bigger area for, as the description states, the copper will radiate the heat out covering a larger space. That's very cool!
Around here a firepit would make an awesome addition for a party! We like nothng better than building a fire and standing around visiting!
Family games, just about everything fun to create lasting memories. It can be the board and card games around the firepit. Maybe, add a tennis net in the yard with horseshoes to throw on the side…The firepit is the number one thing no one should be without. Roasting marshmallows, hotdogs or veggies on it.. Coffee or cold Ice tea is refreshing! I think everything you say listed above just adds to lighten the joy of fellowship with family and friends!
Its all about the right hor'derves! But a nice fire pit can help keep your guests eating them all through the evening.
Clean Up the furniture & add color with pillows and matching flowers….now your party ready.
My adirondack chairs are a must outdoors. They were the first pieces my husband and I bought for outside and are used the most often. The firepit would make a nice addition to those chairs!
Beautiful fire pit!
We love to decorate outdoors with Indian sari's and candle lights….along with your lovely firepit, the backyard would look amazing!!
We now have a fire pit (unfortunately it did not hold up well). Having a pit made a nice party accent for our teenager when she had a New Year's Eve party for her friends.
We could use this new one!
We have an in ground pool and some bargain patio furniture that needs replacing too!
Thank you!
For our outdoor parties, we always have music, food, drinks and the many aspects of nature. We built a beautiful pond and waterfall near the patio so we can always hear the water splashing, and tiki torches around the entire patio for the element of fire. This fire pit would make the ambiance complete!
We’ve just started planning our outdoor space and this firepit would be perfect!!! We’ve been watching all the design shows and buying magazines! I’m so excited!
I use very pretty hooks which reach away from around my deck, facing outside (off) the deck. Then I hang all different candel lanterns which I put citronella candels in. This keeps the bugs away, is safe, and gives off a beautiful light for the party.
just the thing to use to roast marshmallows !
This would definitely warm up my outdoor entertaining. Thanks for all the inspiration you share.
I love to put hurricane candles of different sizes out and around the upper and lower deck. Helps to create a soft mood, but, I must say, I also change out the pillows for the patio furniture every year. We've wanted a fire pit…it would be a perfect addition to the lower stone deck we just finished!!!
I have added an Asian style gazebo that overlooks two koi ponds which are joined by a stream, and four waterfalls. All of this is surrounded by perennial cutting gardens, and shade gardens flow throughout the woods and have wonderful Asian figures peeking out from among the ferns, hostas, hydrangeas, and brightly colored impatiens. Having a fire pit would allow a longer season to enjoy this beauty.
I would love this fire pit for the house I just bought and some outdoor furniture : ) I love the out doors. I have a deck but nothing to put on it. Maybe that will change soon!
Ooh! Love this fire pit! Our family goes on a camping trip every summer, fire pit, s'mores & all. This would be a great way to continue the tradition in our backyard throughout the summer. Can't wait!
Oops! I forgot to mention that we've decorated our back porch with some party lights, candles, comfy, colorful seating & our yard with a colorful hammock getaway.
I would love to have this firepit on chilly nights outside! Beautiful!
I just made waterproof pillows out of clearance tablecloths! They look so cheery on my NEW deck – which was lacking color. But still a little too chilly out there to sit without a fire…
String of white lightsto make everything sparkle. Paper lanterns are fun too!
Tiki torches, solar outdoor lights, love this firepit, we often build a fire at night and sit outside inthe summer
My favorite accessory (always) is little white lights!
a beautiful garden and plenty of shade is a must for gathering in our Texas backyard!
dreaming of snuggling in the evenings by this fire pretty please
We built a cabana for privacy and shade. Recently I just added curtains to it. Love it! Now we are working on another area and the fire pit would be perfect for it!
My husband works out of state & doesn't get to come home often. When he does, he loves to sit out by the pond at night & watch / listen to the wildlife. Our Alaskan Malamute loves that "her daddy" is home & sits out there with him as long as he wants! I'm cold-natured, so this firepit would make it easier for me to sit out there too!
Wow! That is certainly a lovevly firepit. That would come in very useful for me and my two small children because it is still sometimes very chilly in Connecticut where we live, which makes it difficult to stay outdoors and enjoy the evenings..
I love thsi firepit, it beautiful and would sere me very weell here in connecticut.
I love parties with themes and they're so easy to do in the summer. I always have lots of fresh flowers, candles, and rocking chairs!
ball jars plus a few handfuls of sand and tea light candles. such a soft summer glow through the glass
My husband and I, along with our 4 children, just bought our very first home! We are so excited! We have a bricked sitting area right off the den and this firepit would be perfect out there!
What stylish additions make my outdoors party ready? Why, good friends and great food – of course!! The inviting glow of the fire in this copper pit would be like icing on the cake – who doesn't love sitting around the warmth of a fire?
Friends, Food and Laughter!! Makes for a very successful evening!!
we built a pergola a couple of years ago and I love to use Tiki torches at all of the corners. I also planted some
clematis vine which i think this year will make a nice canopy on top. I am also going to sting some mini white lights, because I love that soft light in the evenings.
a firepit, but believe me this would be an upgrade
i would love this so much!!
