The official first day of summer is mere weeks away. Temperatures are heating up across the country. And the sun doesn’t set now until after dinner. It’s time to celebrate life outdoors. To get our Design Happens readers ready for the season of barbecue get-togethers, graduation parties and three-day holiday weekends, we’re giving away awesome outdoor furniture and decor from Frontgate every Friday in May.

Frontgate Copper Fire Pit

Since many parts of the nation are still experiencing chilly evening temps, this week’s giveaway is a copper fire pit. Copper is one of the absolute best conductors of heat, making this one of the best fire pits on the market. We want you to take one home! Just leave us a comment before 12/11c on Monday, May 9th to be entered into the random drawing.

This week’s question: What stylish additions help make your outdoor space party ready? Tiki torches, colorful outdoor pillows, hurricane lamps, fun outdoor dinnerware?

I would love to win this- we are using an old tire rim right now for our fire pit! LOL!

Ambient lighting (in our case, a whimsical "Gladys goose lamp" is the inspiration) and gravel plus pavers with comfortable, flexible seating.

We have an outdoor rug to cover our shabby deck. I have a potted strawberry plant and lots of seating with comfy cushions. I have apple trees and other fruit bearing plants that liven up my small back yard. I am slowly turing it into a peaceful retreat for the end of long work days and relaxing weekends. A fire pit would get it that much closer to perfect.

I would LOVE to start my decorating with this fire pit! Items on my "must buy" list consist of colorful lighting, comfortable seating, new outdoor glassware, citronella fire pots, and and outdoor area rug.

Have wanted a fire pit for years!! Am slowly remaking our entertainment area and THAT one would be amazing, and a great addition to the tiki torches, canopy, etc…

We use what we have in our backyard and then we just enhance those items. Our backyard backs to nice mature trees and with that we've made isolated serene nooks through retaining walls, decorative stones, and landscape where our guests can get lost into their own world.

We have a great deck off the back of our home and love working and reworking the look. A wondeerful firepit would do wonders, we face a wooded area and to sit there in the evenings with a fire would be sooo relaxing!

A pond brings soothing sounds of water … sparkling reflections , mesmerizing fish to wash and a big ole bullfrog with great deep ribbets for smiles :)
