All month long we’re celebrating outdoor entertaining and living with four giveaways from Frontgate. Last week, we looked to help you to heat up the night with a copper fire pit. Now we’re lighting up the night with this week’s giveaway — the Lucina Lantern — a sophisticated take on outdoor lighting. One large pillar candle will fit into this solid bronze lantern, but I think a bunch of mismatched candles would lend a stunning bohemian vibe to your next outdoor party.

Outdoor Lanterns

You’ve got until 12/11c Monday, May 16th to leave us a comment. That’s all you have to do for a chance to win one of these gorgeous outdoor lanterns.

This week’s question: What’s special about the place you spend most of your time outdoors at your home? Is it your favorite fragrant potted plants that surround you on a sunny patio? The vintage glider you refinished that’s perfect for cool evenings spent chatting with neighbors on your front porch? Or the perfect napping hammock you and a loved one strategically placed between two shady trees?

I find taking care of my flower garden is relaxing but I positively love warm summer nights, grilling tasty food, and enjoying the evenings with my family and few friends that I have.

Our backyard is like an outdoor oasis in the summer – my favorite thing about the backyard is the ability to lay out on a tube in the pool – it keeps you cool but you still get to enjoy the wonderful weather!

We have a small turtle pond in our back yard. Every year I get flowers for Mother's Day and I have planted them around the pond. Lilys, Irises, columbine, roses and daisys to name a few. It is just so colorful and bright and I love watching the turtle swim around and poke her head out of the water.

Our patio is surrounded by plants that were taken from my grandfathers garden, after he died. He was an avid gardener, and I know that he'd like that we all took a part of that with us.

I recently found a wrought iron settee at an estate sale, for $20. It does need a fresh coat of paint, but for right now it looks great with a small potted plant on it. It is my most favorite find for my garden, at the moment. <a href="http://www.skylarkmanor.com” target=”_blank”>www.skylarkmanor.com

Although it gets pretty hot here in georgia, the overhead fan in our screened in porch helps keep the heat tolerable, so we can really enjoy being outdoors.

Our cottage is situated on a slope. I like to sit at the top and look down. PLus, anywhere that we have the bird feeders is good I love to watch them coming and going.

We found an outdoor lamp that looks well on our 1901 wrap-around porch and now we can read out there all night, all summer long!

This would look so great at my new home that I am about to buy!
