All month long we’re celebrating outdoor entertaining and living with four giveaways from Frontgate. Last week, we looked to help you to heat up the night with a copper fire pit. Now we’re lighting up the night with this week’s giveaway — the Lucina Lantern — a sophisticated take on outdoor lighting. One large pillar candle will fit into this solid bronze lantern, but I think a bunch of mismatched candles would lend a stunning bohemian vibe to your next outdoor party.

Outdoor Lanterns

You’ve got until 12/11c Monday, May 16th to leave us a comment. That’s all you have to do for a chance to win one of these gorgeous outdoor lanterns.

This week’s question: What’s special about the place you spend most of your time outdoors at your home? Is it your favorite fragrant potted plants that surround you on a sunny patio? The vintage glider you refinished that’s perfect for cool evenings spent chatting with neighbors on your front porch? Or the perfect napping hammock you and a loved one strategically placed between two shady trees?

My yard is SLOWLY becoming the retreat I have always wanted. Some designs were not possible which led to sacrifices. These lanterns fit well with all designs

  2. Love it…would look great on our deck.

  3. My husband and I bought our first house 5 years ago. Half a acre, it was a mess… Dead everything …. Rocks in the front yard… My poor grandmother would tell me when are you going to make it pretty? Sorry to say she never got to see 5 years later ,,, it looks much better.. My husband and I planted san augustine grass that we got pieces from my grandmas house. And wow. It looks gorgeous.. And then we did the back last year.. My husband built a retaining wall on the side of the house all the way to the back and I put geraniums from her yard. And now I have a gorgeous yard. We still have lots we want to do. And we still have plenty of space, but little by little.. Not much money to spare these days… But I just feel very proud. I just wish she could have been here to see it.

We need to create a new favorite place. We moved at the end of last summer and haven't made our backyard feel homey yet. We're looking forward to creating a space we love, were we can share good food and make memories. :-)

I love these lanterns. I can see them sprinkled around in various flower beds to enjoy while we're sitting around the campfire, which is our favorite place to be on summer evenings. They'd look great by the front door too.

We spend most of our time outdoors building new things and watching the kids play. My husband is in the Army so having that time outside to play with the kids and help them learn makes our time outside very special.

    I love my whole backyard!
I love laying on the hammock with my boyfriend when it's nice out, I love playing with our dogs & I love the beautiful fish pond his dad built!

  8. Michelle Vandergrift says:

Love sitting on our front porch, watching the kids play, listening to the birds and enjoying a glass of wine.

  9. I just bought a fixer upper, and will have to plan an outdoor area from scratch. Love the lantern!

We actually are fortunate enough to have a garden house. Yes, it has to undergo complete renovation, like the rest of the house, but it will be awesome when it's done!
