Daily Delight: Cottage Entry Way

Since Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick-off of summer, I’ve had beaches – and everything they entail: houses, boats, wicker – on my mind a lot lately.

Dreaming of beach homes and their whitewashed beauty led me to A Beach Cottage, a lovely house blog from Down Under. The entryway of the house features a vintage oar coat rack, loads of summery whites and beautiful hardwoods. The subtle tans and blues round it out to create a stylized, yet serene and welcoming space.

  1. I love this oar "decor"…reminds me how much I'd love to be at the beach, ANY BEACH, PREFERABLY Florida, for the blue, blue water and if I had a Cottage there, I'd put this in my entry hall.

  2. This is actually very interesting to me because I am using the beach theme but in my bedroom I have blue and white and some silver accents and guess where I got my Idea and inspiration from? yes, HGTV.
