Time flies when you’re … frantically entering the 2011 HGTV Green Home sweepstakes like a mad woman every day! I know it can’t possibly feel like it, but it’s June 2nd already. Which means it’s the last day to enter for a chance to win this stunning Denver home, a 2011 GMC Terrain and $100,000 cash! (I also want to know why it’s like August hot the first week of June. Back to the sweeps.) This is one of those bittersweet, day-after-Christmas type days for us at HGTV. Do we really want to give away this luxurious prairie-style home with a deck and patio. (It’s really grown on us!). But, yes, we are thrilled to see it go to a deserving HGTV fan.
You’ve got until 5PM EST to get your two daily entries in (once on HGTV.com and another on Frontdoor.com.) Who knows, the winner of the sweepstakes could come from today’s last-minute entries!
For totally-so-not-fair reasons, I’m not eligible to win the home. Despite this sad, sad fact, I’ve compiled a list of my top three ”2011 HGTV Green Home To-Dos” just in case there is some fluke in the system and they don’t realize I work here. (Just kidding, I haven’t entered – sigh.)
1). Organize all of my clothes, accessories and jewelry in the fabulous master bath’s closet. The master suite’s layout is smart, smart smart! Putting the huge closet in the bathroom, rather than the bedroom, ensures the sleeping space stays soothing and clutter-free.
2). Host a casual dinner party in the eclectic dining room. I adore the unexpected lighting and non-traditional decor of this entertaining space. The sliding glass doors lead outside to the deck area — my party can effortlessly move from indoors to outdoors. I’ll be hostess of the year.
3). LIVE in the “do” room. Have you seen this room? It’s genius! I’ve always wanted a home with a craft room and this just takes it above and beyond. It’s a craft studio AND laundry station, home office, gift-wrapping station AND reading room all in one space! I’d be doing a lot in the “do” room.
Not only is this home green, it’s smart! It has everything I need and a ton of things I didn’t realize I needed until now. (Like a dog washing station in the garage!) Do me a favor — go enter for a chance to win it on my behalf. Two times, once on HGTV.com and again on Frontdoor.com. Good luck!

I would love to have this home. i have been through so much since my husband age 42 passed away from a brain anuerysm. i went through a hard time. i found him dead in our bedroom back in tennessee and had a breakdown. i quit my wonderful job and moved back to Missouri to be with my family. My house got broke into three times after that. All my money got stolen and i lost everything my husband and i worked so hard for. i am now homeless living with my sister and her family. I have alot of medical issues and have no insurance. I have no means to look for work so i can get insurance and I am not even sure I could hold down a job without first getting my medical things taken care of. Winning this home would be a true blessing from god above and would be just what I needed to get back on my feet. i would be so grateful to the Lord and the staff of HGTV and all who participated in the building of this wonderful home, the vehicle and the $100,000.

i would love to win this home for my son and his wife and 2 children.. Two weeks ago my son's house burnt down and lost everything. his wife is not working because the baby is only six months old . if i won this house i would hand it over to my son who despartly needs a new home. thanks

What a blessing it would be to win this home. God only knows our stuggles! I lived in CO several years ago and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I don't see any other way to get back out there. It's truly a masterpiece (the home and the area). Someone is going to be so happy!
WOW! What a nice place, great use of space, I love the do room. I can see myself and grandkids scrapbooking, plaster painting or beading in that room. I love it. What a neat concept. Enjoy crafts while you work. Would love to have it.

As I look over this home once more, again I am reminded that it is a sophisticated blend of sleek designs both interiorally and architectecturally. Having lived most of my adult life in the Rocky Mountain range or somewhere adjacent, I find that the high mountain air and the culture/climate promote healthy lifestyles, It seems so logical and organized and practical to downsize and go green. Love this home so much more than the previous three homes because it seems to be a streamlined and more efficient green home in every way. I am like so many of you, praying for the same miracle to win a dream home such as this one. GOD has always provided my family with our needs even through the tough times we're currently experiencing right now. I know that if we don't win, this is not our blessing and I must remain patient because GOD does everthing decently and in order. We must understand that GOD will lead HGTV committee into selecting the family who deserve this miraculous blessing. Remember, if you're not blessed with this home, your blessing is coming…..you just have to believe and put your trust in GOD.

Being born on June 25th, turning 50 on June 25th 2011 and winning the beautiful Green Home in Denver on June 25th would just be the best birthday present ever! We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be the lucky family.

I really want to win this house!!!!! I live iin a house that is has so many things wrong with it isn't funny. I would be so nice to be able to open windows. Sit on the porch listen to birds sing and wake to the most beautiful house that a person could ever have.
W e have a 860 square foot home with low ceilings. Our heads almost touch in most of the rooms.
Would be amazing to not be afraid to stand up straight. I am 5 10 1/2 and my husband is 6'2.

In April 2008 my husband (44 yrs.) tragetly took his own life in our home that he built (due to our home was being repossed and he was a very intelligent teacher without a job) The girls and I immediately moved into a cinder block house that is cracking everywhere and the chimney is deterating and loosening from the wall.Soon I will be checking for radon.
