I think it looks like a chest. The kind that rests at the foot of a bed and you put all your blankets in.
I looked at everyone else's comments after I guessed (I didn't want any ideas put in my head before guessing). I agree with Amy and Ming….it looks like a toy chest or an outdoor container for toys. So, I stick with my original guess, a chest.
I think it is the back of a toilet =)
I haven't read any of the other comments as of yet but I think the item is a clothes hamper possibly or a toy box of sorts. Maybe I'm totally off.
