Garlands and glitter art. Really. I wouldn't do this even for a kid's party much less for "sophisticated New Yorkers" and black checkerboard floor!!! Just awful. Nothing went together ..oh, let's scatter rose petals everywhere; it's so organic!!! Tacky.
I love The Novogratz! They have inspired me more than any other designer out there because they suck at design and are still successful. I mean, they've lowered the bar so much that if you are just sort of talented, you too could have your own show! Though it helps to be way too f-ing cool for school and name your kids ridiculous "hip" names.
I live in sterling alaska in a 16×30 house so to see funky fun is nice. trying to apply it on such small scale is awkward ,wish my shopping options were as varied. thanks for sparking a vibe no matter where you live

Robert and Cortney's old program were unique and different. I am tired of watching reruns of house hunting. They all look the same.HGTV need new programs and ideas. They need to get out into real subdivisions in middle America. Show us what we can do on a real budget. Today when the country is trying to make it the best they can, each day we need to identify with these programs. How about a program about staging with what you have and adding some new things that don't cost too much. I do this right now with family and friends and I can't tell you how excited people get. It really helps them to give them a lift. Also explaining why you are editing some of their things to make it look fresh. I don't mean to stage to sell but to live in and enjoy.
I JUST NOW discovered the Novogratz' new show on HGTV!!! Have set my DVR to record all currernt and back shows…I will follow them anywhere, they are so fresh and innovative. I always end up energized and inspired after watching them work.
I am still new to the Novogratz, so all of their reruns are new to me and I am loving the crazy of how they design. It works and it's fun.
