Ah, the communal candy dish. An important feature of any office. At the last place I worked, the sweets stash was kept in a giant plastic margarita glass, which was fun (a “Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker” nod?), but in honor of National Lollipop Day, I prefer the look of this Peacock Lollipop Holder. How proud would you be to have this Jonathan Adler beauty on your desk?

Wouldn’t it be cute as a button (sorry, couldn’t resist) with these VintageConfections pops? I know, it’s not the most practical thing in the world, but imagine using it for entertaining, perhaps to display cake pops. Hello, peacock-shaped party favor dispenser! Determined to DIY your own lolly delight instead? Fill a flower pot with some Styrofoam, top with dried moss, and “plant” some sunflower or tulip-shaped pops inside. Pick the flowers at will for a sugary pick-me-up.

Now that's a clever idea! I love this post and all of the links, although now I have an irresistible urge to try making cake pops, and to order a bunch of lobster-shaped lollipops:

Must try to tame my sweet tooth — down, sweet tooth, down!
How about shish ka bob? With fruit or with meat and veggies.
@CplusE: Aw, thanks! Yes, those cake pops do look amazing, no? Too bad no one I know has a birthday coming up, or I'd just have to make them (and then eat a bunch myself).
@jpnlpinlove: Hey, fruit kabobs! That's brilliant, especially for a cute summer brunch party. Thanks for the idea.
