I’ve spent many a summer day lounging in a handmade hammock my dad brought me from Colombia. While I love the colors and pattern of my hammock, I’m not a fan of having it fold in on me, encasing me in a cocoon and making reading impossible! Somebody out there in design land shared my frustration when they created the Headdemock Hammock by Fatboy. Your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. I love to spend my summer days biking to the beach and swimming with my 11 month old daughter!! I love experiencing adventures through her eyes. A hammock would be a great place to curl up and read a good book together!
Absolutely love the hammock. It's big enough to fit a family in it. I would love to lounge in this hammock and read an intriquing book while sipping on a cold glass of my favorite raspberry tea. It is extremely hot here in St. Louis so this would be a much needed neccesity to enjoy shade and quiet time.
Since my husband is a teacher and has the summer off, I am enjoying the summer spending more time with him. Since the kids are now grown, we can just decide to go somewhere on a whim.
I love lounging by the pool. Especially with a glass of something delicious.

As hot as its been lately, I like to stay inside with the AC going full blast. We also like to take the kids to the pool.
This midwest heat dome is a killer! I'm all for hanging out in my air-conditioned house… but I love hammocks when the weather isn't so terribly hot & humid!!
I love to spend time with my grandchildren playing in the yard or chasing them through the sprinkler. Would love to swing in this hammock with them and read them stories.

Living in Florida it's rarely truly cold, but in the summer months my favorite thing to do is to make a nice light pasta salad, some lemonade and have lunch outside in my screened in pool area. Afterwards, I love to get as comfy as i can in a lounge chair and read near the pool. Sometimes i take a quick dip to refresh myself, then its back to my book. I could stay outside for hours and hours on days like this!
I'm too frugal to have a real swimming pool in my back yard, so instead, we ALL (me, my two year old and my 6 mo old) pile into the baby pool (6 inches deep, 2 feet radius). We can't move or even see that we are in water, but we sure can feel the glorious cool water underneath us, that makes this incredibly hot (109 today) summer quite enjoyable!
Maybe the should family, including daddy, could fit on that awesome hammock

In Southern Illinois it's great to lay in the shade of the huge maple tree in our backyard with a nice cold beverage and forget about all those things on the "to do list".

My favorite way to spend the Dog Days of Summer is with my friends and family. I love to have a BBQ or Family Dinner so we can all spend some time together. Family+Fun= SummerTime

I like either sitting under a giant shaded tree with a good book and a nice cold glass of sweetened iced tea with lemon or relaxing on a giant hammock (wink) under a tree.
I spend most of summer anxiously awaiting fall when it is so much more tolerable outside and I can open up the windows!

My favorite lazy pleasure on a summer afternoon is to pack my dinner and a book and head either to the beach or the little lighthouse park. I take a walk, watch the water, smile at the people who go by, read a little, and enjoy my book and the breeze! I am a teacher, so I LIVE for summer time!
