Wedding season is still in full swing, and weddings are beautiful and all, but here’s the problem. It always feels like by the time the cake has been cut, and slices make their way around to all the tables, that’s when the band or DJ really starts to kick it up a notch. And you have to make a decision: Cake or dancing? Why should you be forced to choose between ganache or Lady Gaga!? It’s almost too cruel.

paper cake boxes

These Cox & Cox Vintage Design Cake Boxes are the perfect solution. I’m hoping they come back in stock soon, but if they don’t, the cake box options from PartyStarters and KatherinePaigeDesign are also sweetly patterned and very favor-worthy. So you can cut a rug at the wedding, safe in the knowledge that you can cut into some vanilla buttercream later.

These are adorable! My Mom and I are avid wedding-goers and always take a piece of cake home to put under our pillow. Does anyone else do this? She says you're supposed to dream of the person you're going to marry; I don't know about that, but it sure tastes good the next morning.

This would (a) keep it from drying out while the dancing commences and (b) keep it from getting smashed during the night.

I know exactly what you're talking about, Briana. I didn't even get any cake at my own wedding! It was Rick James, not Lady Gaga that tore me away from the desserts though.

That is way tragic. Maybe we should all buy these and just bring them in our purses, then stuff the cake in when no one is looking. Too tacky?

    No judgement.

It used to be traditional to have (wrapped) pieces of "groom's cake" available for all the single females to take home. Yes, they were to be put under your pillow so you could dream of your future groom. They were made of fruit cake (a British tradition).

You have fantastic ideas using burlap and coordinating the shoes and outfit for a party. I loved every picture and comment. Thanks so much!

Just think that we landed on the mega sky but if they had to flourish which you must be amazing. My only writing is all that she winks at above her Earth. Please produce scary updates. Thanks so much.
