The teepee? So hot right now. Even The New York Times thinks so! There are teepee motels and play teepees for kids, so why shouldn’t your feline friend join in the fun?

cat teepee

The Loyal Luxe Native American Teepee for cats is meant to be humorous, but kitties actually seem to go crazy for it (could it be the cardboard box factor?), and it’s definitely cuter than many other cat beds I’ve seen on the market. I’m half-wondering if I could get my long-haired miniature dachshund into it. If your style is more rustic, Loyal Luxe also offers a Canadian Cabin. Me? I’d get one of each, and designate the teepee as the “summer home” and the cabin as the “winter home.” Happy Caturday!

That is a cool abode for kitties! Guess what, even chickens can live in teepees: http://www.hgtv.com/gardening/chicken-coops-for-b

Made my 1st cardboard cat home over 40 years ago out of old boxes and linked them. It was a great maze, but a fenom for the cat. Adored anything I made, as it felt so stealthy in it. The cardboad is just marvelous with how easy it is to create, have structural integrity, color, develope, & link boxes producing extreme fun to come alive for felines. As years have come and gone with doing this, our children have learned the same homage. Do watch out for your fingers! Little windows that are opened with any style made, (french, shutter vertically or horizontally, or side push open either way. Little feline paws come racing out to, yep to get cha with intense speed. Those claws sink into your skin like melted butter so be very careful. It's apparent cats love this & incrediably adore the sound your nail can make on the cardboard driving them into attack modes fervently. LOL! It's attack mode all the way and so many times it a lunging attack with nails out thru the smallest opening surprising you everytime. we've made hanging toys inside, ledges, small opening into larger arrays, it's endless the possibilities. Castles, walk ways, and when you've got more than one cat it's a free for all playground. So many designs over the years.
LOL!. It's such fun to make them into mansions, layered and different levels that they love to climb into and have the ability to look out in a good high space. Grand fun, cheap reuseable products that a little slit from one box crosses another slit with giving great suppost with not too heavy of an item…your cat!

That all sounds so creative! Kudos to you for thinking of clever ways to recycle cardboard and keep your kitty happy.

I have many cats and have spent a fortune on kitty litter, but when I found that my cats all used the cardboard boxes I used to carry my groceries from the "box it yourself store" as a repository for their excrements I started linning them with my daily newspaper, and then I use them as mulch in my very large yard to keep the weeds down. Of course, I have also use the boxes as beds and climbing structures. My house could be called "House of Cardboard".
