• Tell Your Friends

I’m going to go ahead and assume none of my friends know about Japanese washi tape or any of the other decorative tapes on Happytape! and Cute Tapes. Because if they knew that such that adorableness existed and didn’t tell me, what kinds of friends are those?

decorative tape

Sure, decorative tape can pretty up your holiday presents, but it’s fun and unexpected in completely new contexts. Seal an envelope with a square. Wind it around a tealight candle holder. Or a plain wooden frame. Cut some into fancy photo corners for your scrapbooks. You can even save a glass bottle from a sad fate in the recycling bin with a few alternating strips of decorative tape, as seen in this Sweet Paul Crafty Friday how-to post. Ta-da! Now you have a simple vase. Oh, decorative tape. I’m stuck on you.

How cute! I saw a picture of a chic studio that used decorative tape instead of pushpins to hang things on the wall.

I wonder if it would take the paints off walls when I remove it??
