I learned from an early age about the decorative power of a beautiful table lamp. Growing up in Atlanta, I visited many a home with a gorgeously appointed sitting room or parlor that exuded that quintessential Southern charm. My friend’s moms were lovely hostesses who always produced a glass filled with sweet tea or ice-cold Coca-Cola within minutes of a guest’s arrival. Conversation flowed effortlessly in these intimate spaces beautifully lit by a perfect set of table lamps. (I can practically feel my Southern accent coming back just remembering those times.) Listen y’all, we all know good lighting can make or break a room. And that a table lamp is one of the easiest ways to update the look of a space. Well, we’ve partnered with The Southern Home, a company that specializes in elegant home furnishings filled with Southern charm, to bring you that perfect burst of brightness and beauty for a room in your home.

It's part of the decor of the room. No only is it practical for a light source but it need to look nice because it needs to be the center of attention to distract from the lack of cleaning I sometimes forget to do.

I'm not a big fan of table lamps but if I had a gorgeous one like these I could really LOVE it. They are good for soft lighting while watching television.<3

I would select the Badcock – it is neither modern or contemonary. It is a tradional lamps that would go with any decor. The lamp shades are a huge plus with the tuffed roses putting a update spin on the shades as these roses are now seen on purses and belts. Great idea. Love these lamps.

I love a beautiful table lamp because it sets the mood for an entire room. The lamp I have in my living room right now was my first big splurge after my husband and I moved into our house. The perfect lamp is a must-have to create the perfect mood for a room.

A good table lamp next to a really comfy chair and ottoman is the perfect place for me to curl up for the entire day on a fall or winter's weekend with a good book.

I'd love to win one of these beautiful lamps as a starting point in decorating a spare bedroom that I am going to turn into a retreat for myself. Working two jobs and being the breadwinner in the family since my husband became disabled has created a lot of stress for me and I need a place to escape.

I DO love a great lamp to read by after the sun goes down… but i like that lamps are easy ways to add character to a home, and even if you are scared of being bold in other elements of the home, lamps are fun, fresh, and can look awesome!
