Daily Delight: Elephant Watering Can

It’s been well-documented that I am a miserable failure at taking care of plants. But if I had this sweet elephant watering can, I’m betting I’d be better at gardening. In fact, I’d be dying for excuses to use the little guy.

I’m sure budding gardeners (har) would appreciate this can’s playful pachyderm shape, too. And if all else fails, I think watering cans make perfect centerpieces when filled with fresh flowers. The elephant could be a terrific table topper at a kids’ circus or zoo-themed birthday party.

  3. That little elephant is enchanting! He reminds me of this cute little elephant teapot I found on GreaterGood Network's The Hunger Site Store:

I can just see myself out on my deck on a crisp autumn afternoon, watering pots of colorful mums with my elephant watering can before sitting down on a deck chair for a cup of Darjeeling tea poured right from the snout — oops, I mean spout — of my elephant teapot! ^_^

  4. This is too adorable. I couldn't keep a single plant alive this year except for my orchid who requires minimal watering but maybe I could use this to fill up the pets' water dishes haha. Any excuse to buy the cutie!

  5. This is too funny! Here's my story: A couple years ago, one of our company vendor reps, Bob, brought in a bunch of these for me and my co-workers…..in both pink and gray. He had left a voice mail message for me a couple months earlier and said he had these for us, and I simply forgot about it. He called later to make sure I wasn't upset with him because I hadn't called back. Of course I wasn't, and we set up an appointment. Bob said his wife found a bunch of these somewhere, they were only either a quarter or 50-cents, and she bought them up for him to give to his clients. I retired last year, so don't get to see him anymore, but this blog certainly made me smile and think of him again!! My little gray elephant is happily gracing the wall of my garden shed. Her name is Ella.
