Sometimes my Internet searches feel a bit like kismet. I had just read Kim‘s great post on using flags, buntings, and banners as party decor, and then I was trying to track down a rug, and oh my, won’t you look at what I found.

Just like buntings lend some whimsy to a party, Hable Construction’s Flags Dhurrie rug lends some whimsy to the floor. Using it as an anchor for a room would be brilliant, since there are so many colors you can pick up and echo with other accents. It’s an obvious choice for a nursery, but I love it in a living room context, as depicted here. Who says grown-ups can’t have a little flag fun, too?

This. Rug! Oh my goodness, I love it! I don't even want to know what it costs, because I am pining for it in my little girls room. Pining!

Such a lovely rug! It almost reminds me of Tibetan prayer flags, too.
