Man, you all are good! I figured that either major fans of Ocean Spray cranberry juice or New Englanders would nail yesterday’s “What the…?” MizzyD guessed correctly first. R. Barth added, “My mom was from New England, and we grew up with one in our home as a memory of her childhood.”

Wooohooo! I have never even seen a cranberry farm or anything resembling this, but I tried to work out what part of the house it would be used in, and once I got to the garden…….it seems a logical step! All I need to do now is win one of those Freebie Fridays! I'm still bummed I missed out on the lamp!

As for cherished family relics, I have an awesome carved wooden chest that my grandmother used. It may even go back to before her time. Unfortunately it's on display at my mom's house as it's way too expensive to ship it over to the US from Australia, but if I ever move home, it will go straight into my house.

MizzyD, thanks for sharing the story about your grandmother's wooden chest. Made me think of my grandmother's salt box that made the journey from Russia to American close to a hundred years ago.
