If you love the versatility of a drop-leaf table, the Lin Dining Table by Hellman-Chang will make your jaw drop. This ingenious piece is perfect if you’re the hostess for the holidays or entertain lots of guests.

Originally commissioned by a Hellman-Chang customer who wanted a table that could grow from 10 feet to 18 feet, the table slides out gracefully. As a bonus, the interwoven base system’s lines create unique looks when expanded to different lengths (although I think it looks just as stylish at its smallest size). Can’t you just imagine a Thanksgiving buffet spread out on the Lin? The only downside is that it’s so eye-catching, it could upstage the bird entirely.

This design made my spouse drool. Very, very cool. We're into furniture design that features elements that can expand and contract in size and shape.
I believe it has a "drool proof" finish so enjoy!
Fun, Funky, Functional . . . does it get any better?
Now this needed to be on the Freebie Friday list!
Love this!
Ah Brilliant idea. I follow you. Indeed why not three sections. I'll mull
this one over. I could have 4 12 or 18 inch sections perhaps — or whatever
combination works. Basically it saves having to spread the whole distance at
one go.
My jaw! Has dropped! I love this. Last Thanksgiving we had 18 people and 2 kids at our house, and my huge 10-seater Heywood Wakefield table was NOT complimented by the 8-seater plastic folding table next to it.
Yes, I was totally thinking of similar situations we've had. (No one likes to be stuck at the kiddie table!)
