  1. Well, I wasn't thinking about Christmas until I saw this post. Of course a trip to Christmas Tree Shops recently for autumn decor had a small aisle of Christmas "stuff" already. I'm sure other retail outlets are already "decking their halls" too.

I begin decorating for the Holiday season around Dec 1. This holiday requires the most effort and you want the decorations to be up for at least a month (at least in my book you do).

BTW, I love the acorn ball ornament. I've just finished creating and sharing Autumn decor ideas. Guess I need to get my thinking cap on for Christmas decor ideas . . . ummmm, nahhh, it's too EARLY for that! ^_^

    • FrugalInterior – I'm the same way. I usually put up my Christmas decor right after Thanksgiving and keep them up until after New Years (for good luck). I like to enjoy the year one season at a time, so I'm soaking up the crisp, fall weather and harvest hues for now, and then when winter gets here I'll start worrying about Christmas, too ;)

  2. I was thinking of Christmas last April when I had my husband move the decorations from our garage storage into an available closet inside the house. Last year I started with Christmas decor the week before Thanksgiving. It was the best idea in my life of being a home decorating mom. Not to mention I was able to store the things for each specific room, in that room which made it super fast. Not a lot of thinking and planning. Now the tree did take it's place during our traditional Thanksgiving weekend. We do lots of entertaining and I love enjoying my home and having others enjoy it too. This year I am making over the tree. I have had the same theme and ornaments and only one tree, when in past years I had 2-3. With small children that was something I put on hold. Now with everyone older I am excited by some of the ideas here. We are a musical family and in our living room have instruments all over the place. I am going to get the kids rallied and make those sheet music ornaments. Thanks for the brilliant idea.
