Proud mama of five and have never had a party outside of my home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE home parities. The planning all year long. The collecting of the items to fill goody bags, the goody table, and then all the fun elements added. One of my favorite parties, I have done with all the boys is the LEGO party. I set up the Lego train set on the dining room table. Everything LEGO. LEGO building contests, Lego hunts etc. With four boys we have tons of Lego's so our guests can take home a bag of Legos too. Please note I do not work for LEGO but about 20 years ago had the privilege of helping a LEGO exec. design her child's room and as a thank you gave me the Lego train set.

As Co-Founder of EchoAge.com, I am always inspired by the true generosity of children. Give kids the tools to make a difference and they will. Birthday's certainly should be about fun, family and friends and presents certainly play an important part but I do firmly believe that like adults, kids benefit from balance. How do you feel about birthday parties that allow children to give to charities AND get a special gift from all of their friends?

  3. Thanks for the party love, Kayla! It is so great to see all of these fun party themes in one place. My favorite childhood birthday memory would have to be ALL of the amazing cakes my mom made for my parties.
