I’ve been feeling the rock trend lately, so my fellow blogger Anna’s post about the amazing ways people are incorporating agate into design inspired today’s delight. These snazzy stones are actually lamp finials from Chic Shop by Hillary Thomas Designs.
rock finials

The site refers to finials as “jewelry for your lamps,” which is a surefire way to get me interested (did I mention I have a jewelry problem?). But I also appreciate their names. Since this is the “Rock n’ Rolla Collection,” each has been dubbed something musically relevant (“Orange Crush” at the top right is after one of my favorite R.E.M. songs). It’s all about the details, people. Just like the finials themselves.

  3. Kudos on one of R.E.M.'s best songs. Seriously, they are simple, classy, elegant. Love em. An easy way to infuse a cool pop of color in a stark white room. Any type of decor that involves organic elements I'm all for!
