October is National Cookie Month, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been “celebrating” inadvertently. (I may have had a giant Kitchen Sink cookie and a Snickerdoodle last weekend.) Sometimes the sweets go so fast at my house that there’s no storing them, but I aspire to more restraint. Maybe this cute and quirky Winking Wisecracker Jar would help me out.

On the other hand, I think that cheeky little wink says he’s in on it, and doesn’t give a hoot how many cookies I scarf before dinner. Oh, well. At least he can’t give me away.

P.S. I’d totally fill this wise guy up with: Trisha Yearwood’s Iced Sugar Cookies, Icebox Cookies, Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies, Super Chocolate Cookies, and Shortbread Cookies.

What a cute cookie jar! I really like the Wise Ol' Cookie Jar:

This owl costs twice as much, but the color suits our home decor, and his resigned expression makes me feel he knows trying to curb my cookie consumption is a lost cause! ;) My owl would be filled with these Ginger Molasses Cookies:

Unless, of course, he was storing Peanut Butter Cookies instead:

And he would also be great for storing Halloween candy bars!

This is so spunky!! Sadly cookie jars are not on our counters. Out of sight-out of mind.

This is a reproduction of a vintage Shawnee Winking Owl cookie jar! Personally I would rather have an original.
