Christmas is only 5 days away, but there’s still time to knock out some great handmade gifts – and we’re here to inspire you. Armed with Kim Stoegbauer’s Modern Christmas Card templates and more than a little motivated by Handmade Ryan Gosling, the HGTV.com editors took a craft break and churned out some seriously adorable cards and ornaments.

Seriously cute! Tiny, yarn-wrapped Christmas wreaths

These yarn-wrapped wreath ornaments have been blowing up Pinterest for weeks, and with good reason. They are inexpensive, easy and quick – taking only about half an hour from start to finish.

We started with piles of colorful yarn, mini-wreath forms and sheets of felt from the local craft store. Just wrap the yarn around the wreath, securing the ends as you go. You can stick with a single color, wrap multiple colors simultaneously or go for color blocks. For the felt flowers, cut quarter-size circles, fold them in fourths and attach with straight pins. There are also tons of tutorials out there, if you want more info.

At the end of the day, we had enough wreaths and cards to deck the mini Christmas tree in our desk area. So freaking cute, am I right? Ryan Gosling would totally approve.
