Happy New Year, everyone! We ushered out 2011 with a bang, so why not welcome this year with something just as festive? Here are five (resolution-free) ways to celebrate 2012 today.

Champagne bellini bar

Toast to the new year. Use up leftover Champagne (or crack open a new bottle of bubbly) for fruity bellinis. To make, just puree your favorite fresh or frozen fruit in the blender and sweeten with sugar to taste. Peach is traditional, but strawberry and blackberry are equally delicious. Then, fill one third of a Champagne flute with the fruit puree and top off with the sparkler of your choice and a few fresh berries.  More ideas for a festive Champagne brunch >>

Enter to win the HGTV Dream Home.  Take a tour of the aptly-named great room, the modern kitchen and (my favorite part) the outdoor entertaining deck, then enter to win here at HGTV.com and again at FrontDoor.com. This could be the year you get that surprise knock on the door!

Watch all-new specials and premieres all day long on HGTV. Plus, tune in to the live and commercial-free Rose Parade tomorrow at 11 am ET/8 am PT. See the full program guide >>
