    I'm guessing a counter balance for something. Looks like something used to be placed in the middle of it – with it's indention.

    It's a headrest.. used in funeral homes, so they can fix the dead persons hair?

    I think it is a men's antique tie presser. You would heat it over a warm fire and insert it into the open end of a man's tie. While it is still hot you would stand it up as shown in the pic. Just a SWAG.

    It might be an clothes iron the coals go in the copper hopper and the flat copper underside is used to smooth the clothing

    bottom is a cinder smasher and top is a scoop for the ashes/cinders in the fireplace.

    It looks somewhat like a shoe stretcher so I’m guessing it’s an anvil of some sort to nail shoes together on. Just a guess.

    looks like it could be a toilet paper holder – maybe slide the roll between the two metal plates – would work if there’s a rod in there!

    It’s a Boot last so that cleaning the master’s boots was easier they would stand up straight
