Well, we’ve survived the first week of 2012! While I haven’t made any specific resolutions this year (I’m tired of breaking my “weight loss” goal by February and if I see the phrase “New Year, New You” one more time, I will lose it), I DO resolve to try new things, expand my horizons and step out of my comfort zone a little bit. That’s why I like the go-get-’em sentiment on this coniLab screenprint so much.

this is my year screenprint

It’s inspirational without being specifically thinspirational. Because while I’d love to improve my health and hit the gym more, I have other aspirations, too. (Like dying my hair red, and writing a novel.)

What are you planning to accomplish in 2012?

my goal this year would be to keep my business area more organized. if you saw it now you would know that i hadn't started, but that's besides the point! i resell on etsy and blog and stock and photo equipment can really take over a place, ya know?
cheers to dying your hair red, Briana…clink!

Good luck with your shop, Rachael! I like what I see there so far. Staying organized can be a pain, but it feels so nice when everything has its own place, doesn't it?

I like the screenprint! My planned accomplishments in 2012 are:

    1. Renovate the basement bathroom (we started last night, so hopefully it will be done within the year)
    2. Install a pond (not in the basement bathroom)
    3. Finish painting the house (we did the North and West sides in 2011, South and East are due for 2012)
    4. Pass all my subjects (I'm working full time, studying for a Bachelor's part time)

OF COURSE it would be nice to lose weight, get a PhD, run a marathon, etc etc etc, but I figure the above are the most feasible. although looking at the state of the bathroom with the drywall off, I'm a little nervous. The previous owners put in cardboard for insulation, the showerhead pipe is attached to nothing, I am missing studs along one side of the wall, the window needs to be replaced (we removed the trim and the frame is rotting) …..

    Happy New Year everybody!

Those are all great goals, Mizzy! Good luck — and do link to pictures when you finish the pond. I wish we could have one, but in NYC, it'd probably have to be inside a bathtub. ;)
