Yes, we’re all past the “put a bird on it” phase of home decor, but what if the bird in question is a cockatoo? And what if there are two of them? And what if the piece of furniture looks as awesome as this settee I spotted on Anthropologie?

cockatoo settee

This settee is both totally classic and totally kooky. Check out that intricate embroidery! It’s a lot of look, but I can see this fitting into an Anna Spiro-designed home — and I think she’d know just how to balance it out and make it work.

Love the Portlandia reference, Briana. "Look at this plain tote bag. Let's put a bird on it! Now he's free!"

Furniture can be a product of design and is considered a form of decorative art. In addition to furniture's functional role, it can serve a symbolic or religious purpose. It can be made from many materials, including metal, plastic, and wood. Thanks.

White pearls complement a white wedding dress. Do not wear a pearl necklace that is too long or too many types of pearl jewelry. Thanks.
