Its for outside, to hold your glass/can. It goes in the ground next to your lawn chair.

I like the idea of using this for a water bottle or bottle of wine at the beach or in the yard….it might also hold a candle out there in The Wild Nature.
I agree, cup holder to put next to a lawn chair.
Outside cup holder – also used them for can holders
this looks like a garden stake to hold top heavy plants upright
Something used in the upholstering of furniture
Stick it in the ground next to your patio chair or beach chair to hold your drinkies.
Tennis ball drier. Those get awfully nasty when you're playing catch with your dog at the park.
