Daily Delight: Take a Walk on the Wild Side (of Rugs)

I posted about that cool, psychedelic Trina Turk rug only a day or two ago, and I normally wouldn’t post about rugs so soon after that, but I think there are exceptions to every rule — and these Carini Lang animal print and textured rugs are pretty exceptional, no?

Animal prints have been enjoying a revival in fashion for a bit now, so it’s nice to see that glam trend extend to the home space as well. But the thing I like best about these animal prints in particular (leopard and zebra are also in Carini Lang’s offerings, FYI), is that they are a little less traditional, especially when done up in these colorways. The Fishskin becomes rippling water, the Python is all gold geometry and the Tiger goes abstract in green and pink. It’s a bit like the trick Carini Lang pulled off with the English Floral I liked so much: Take a classic pattern and turn the colors upside down. Now that’s what I call wild.

  2. I miss Gardening shows like Gardening by the Yard. I have almost stopped watching this station since they took it and other gardening shows off.
