Daily Delight: DIY Washi Tape Keyboard

Washi tape continues to blow my mind! The punchy colors and pretty patterns always beckoned me, but I was never quite sure what what I’d do with the rolls if I had any. And then I saw some DIY washi tape keyboards, like the ones from minifanfan below, and this one from Her New Leaf.

As someone who spends an inordinate amount of time tapping away at a computer, I am probably a little too precious about my technology. Like rubbing my MacBook Pro down with a chamois. (I’m only half-kidding.) Sticky pieces of tape on the keyboard wouldn’t have been my first idea for laptop decor, but I can see this mix of happy stripes and dots energizing me whenever I’d sit down to blog. Maybe I’ll test it out on my work laptop first. I’m sure my bosses won’t mind if it looks this cute. Right, guys?

  2. I think this looks SO pretty, but it would drive me crazy having to count buttons see if I was hitting an F4 or F5.

  5. I would really love to do this, but sadly I have a pc with a black keyboard. Any tips to do this with a black keyboard, since I know the the tape is see through? thank you!

  6. It's lovely, but not sure how durable it'd be. i have some washi tape and on the packet it says 'Sticking the tape in one place for a long time, it gets difficult to peel by decay. it also gets scratches by accident.'
