Washi tape continues to blow my mind! The punchy colors and pretty patterns always beckoned me, but I was never quite sure what what I’d do with the rolls if I had any. And then I saw some DIY washi tape keyboards, like the ones from minifanfan below, and this one from Her New Leaf.

As someone who spends an inordinate amount of time tapping away at a computer, I am probably a little too precious about my technology. Like rubbing my MacBook Pro down with a chamois. (I’m only half-kidding.) Sticky pieces of tape on the keyboard wouldn’t have been my first idea for laptop decor, but I can see this mix of happy stripes and dots energizing me whenever I’d sit down to blog. Maybe I’ll test it out on my work laptop first. I’m sure my bosses won’t mind if it looks this cute. Right, guys?

My mac has black keys too! It depends on the tape. Obviously white washi tape does not work, but some colors do. If you really wanted a transparent or light color, you could try attaching it to card and then double sided sticky tape it to the keys. Hopefully that helped you.

You could write on the washi tape with a sharpie before attaching it. Its cool because you can do really cool fonts and put little symbols on them too.

It is all fine! unless you use super glue or duct tape it probably won't damage your keys.
After getting a Macbook 13" for my b-day i really wanted to do this but i didn't want to risk damaging my " baby " . After i while i went through a phase of buying decals and attaching stickers or washi tape to it. It has peeled of nicely.
