For someone who doesn’t yet have kids, I sure have been preoccupied with adorable stuff for babies on this site. (Paging Dr. Freud!) I’ve covered nursery wall decals, unique cribs and cradles, and decor in general (from wall art to curtains and bedding), but I suppose I haven’t mentioned painting ideas. Though I must confess to feeling a little chevron fatigue, I love this punchy paint job in a nursery featured by Lowe’s. It’s just so stinking happy!

I think the wild palette is what makes this feel unique for me — I’ve seen chevrons in nursery rooms before, but the colors have all been more sedate. Because it’s featured by Lowe’s, the actual paint colors used are listed (My favorite color name? Valspar Strawberry Fields) along with step-by-step instructions and a video tutorial to guide you, should you want to recreate the look in your own home. If that wasn’t enough to get you moving, how about the price? They estimate that it’s only $65 for this room-changing look. Weekend project, anyone?
