Sometimes I think fashion has the edge when it comes to new trends. Whatever the flavor of the day, it seems there’s a thrifty or cautious way to incorporate it into your look. Take for example the explosion of neon accessories I’m seeing everywhere. Where fashionistas have belts, socks and manicures, there’s not always an equivalent for home decor enthusiasts. That said, I think I’ve found some fun and relatively inexpensive/low-commitment ways to inject a little neon into your life.

I enjoy all of these goodies, but I’m the most sad to have missed out on the neon extension cords in college. For some reason, dorm rooms have a real shortage of outlets, and even with power strips, I feel like I constantly had to use extension cords for things like the TV. Some hot pink and electric green cords really would have jazzed up the joint. (And maybe the shock of color would have kept me awake while I was studying for finals!)

I'm all about the neon. I just love it so, so much! Look at my neon-yellow Pinterest board: http://pinterest.com/kkitts88/neon-yellow/
I'm in love with your board. And now I want a neon canopy bed. No fair!
