Happy National Card and Letter Writing Month, everyone! Can you remember the last time you got a proper letter in the mail? Not counting holiday or birthday greetings, I mean. I bet these Birch Bird Cards would inspire more people to keep in touch even in the age of email, that’s for sure.

It’s a bit similar to buying Cracker Jacks — the salty-sweet popcorn is good, but the prize is an added attraction. In this case, you get to send a sweet, heartfelt note and a little toy sculpture all in one. (I’d say it’s like killing two birds with one stone, but that’d be a bit morbid in this case!) It sounds like a magic trick, but really it’s just the magic of laser-cut flat-pack wood and the USPS.
