When Bob Dylan said “everybody must get stoned,” he wasn’t singing about this fieldstone-tiled bathroom by Karen O’Brien of KOB Interior Design, but he should have been, because I think everyone ought to see this. Incredible, no?

Those walls! The curves and the fieldstone tile give this bathroom a warm, rustic feel that’s balanced perfectly with the glamour of the tub and chandelier. I’ve been seeing more stone as tile lately (see also: this supercool backsplash on Pinterest), but this scale is so dramatic. I’d almost welcome a hard day, just to have an excuse to come home and soak in this tub. Fieldstone, take me away!

I love this! It's like a castle crossed with a bright, modern home, aka my dream bathroom.
Briana, nice find!!! Oh my goodness the stone is gorgeous. I don't think I would ever get out of the tub!
Thanks, Jessica! Glad you liked it.
Just saw a rerun with Sandra Rinomato…I miss Sandra!
gorgeous!!:D
A chic woman's cave! Love the windows up above. A great way to cool down the room from a steamy tub.
Speaking of cooling down… I made a Grapefruit Cocktail over the weekend. http://www.becauseofmadalene.com/2012/04/grapefru…

The stonewalls make for a lovely rustic feel to this bathroom but the placement of the long narrow window really makes this room splitting of the sea of rock nicely.
Please supply info as to whether stone is real or cultured;
installation tips, etc.
Lovin' this bathroom!

Love this bathroom!!!!
Very nice shot of the tub. I can only imagine how the rest of the place looks. I'd imagine an oak vanity unit would look pretty good in there.
As much as I'd like to believe that the plumbing was easy to install, I've been wrong before. I wouldn't be surprised if even some melbourne plumbers had to get as fancy as the bathroom itself to install those pipes.
