Back in my school days, teachers’ gifts consisted of an apple or a simple homemade thank you card. But these days, kids have gotten more creative. I ran across this adorable chalkboard potted plant by blogger Mariah that reminded me of our easy-to-make spring chalkboard pots. It’s just as simple to make, but really shows your kid’s teacher how much you appreciate them.

All you need to do is paint a pot with black chalkboard paint and yellow paint; add some ruler markings; and write a sweet message using chalk. Fill the pot with flowers from the grocery store, and voila! Can you say teacher’s pet?

This is so adorable! I think I might make some for my daughter's daycare teachers, they have been so great
I'm not a teacher, but I want one!
I made these several years ago for my children's teachers and the loved them. I also made one for myself
(I was a teacher at the time) and used it as a pencil holder.
