For those of you who happened to tune into The Nate Berkus Show last week, I hope you spotted two familiar faces! That’s right, Ken and I had the pleasure of welcoming Nate’s kind audience into our home a few months ago, and the segment has officially aired!
And because the renovation magic all began here on HGTV.com, I thought I’d share links below to a few of the projects we shared on the home tour, just in case you’ve missed a few along the long, wild ride!:
The Entryway:
Our modern, quirky entryway used to be a coat closet before we opted to widen the hallway for a more charming welcome. See the before here, and of course, the amazing after!
The Entryway Shelving Unit:
Our focal point of the entryway is the open shelving unit we created with reclaimed wood. Check out the DIY video we filmed to create the look in your own home!
The Living Room:
Did you catch that gorgeous hand-painted wallpaper we transformed into art in the living room? In case you missed it, watch the entire living room makeover unfold here!
The DIY Staircase Railing:
Want more details on our staircase railing solution that Ken shared in the tour? Check out our custom wood and glass railing tutorial here.
The Kitchen:
We’re crazy in love with our kitchen; remember when it was little more than studs? Enjoy our kitchen before and after makeover here. And don’t forget the glass backsplash tutorial we’ve shared since the tour!
The Dining Room:
Our dining room was a dramatic transformation indeed; check out the insane before and after dining room tour here, featuring that gorgeous DIY rustic dining room table Ken built. Of course, the biggest statement in the room is that beautiful Swedish fireplace. In case you can’t quite remember what it used to look like (warning: it’s hideous!), enjoy the surprise fireplace reveal here. (Bonus points if you spotted the concrete mantel in the video tour!)
The Office:
Our light-filled and bright office is full of DIY touches we shared with Nate – from our custom art wall to those modern plywood cube shelves. Our quirky desk makeover even made a debut! (Don’t forget a recent addition since filming: that handmade dog crate coffee table!)
Our Master Bedroom:
My goodness do we have a lot to share about this room! It’s changed a lot since our master bedroom progress update where you first spotted those DIY wood-planked ceilings I love so much. Since then, we’ve installed a custom closet solution, updated the closet hardware and built a DIY headboard with reclaimed wood.
Nate’s favorite touch? Our wood-planked ceilings (and I can’t say I disagree with him!). So tell me, friends – can you believe how far we’ve come in two short years? We’ve still got a bit to do, but I’m so proud (House Proud, even!) of the progress. Thanks for loving our home as much as we do, Nate, and thanks to you all at HGTV.com for joining us every step of the way!

Loved the Nate debut! Since (sadly), his daytime show was canceled, any chance that HGTV might snag him for a regular show. I love his style and have learned so much watching him!
WHAT… NATE'S SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED???? Yes, HGTV needs to grab him up quickly. Love his show and his designs. I am going to have withdrawals!!!
is that true that the Nate Show was cancelled ? I'm going to miss that but now maybe he can come to my house and help me decorate my husband left after 37 years And I dont know where to start !
I went to his show 2 years ago , god is he cute !
must tell you that i love the original shows, but am very tired of the repeats of house hunters – sometimes that is all that is shown – over and over – with all the old shows, lets see some of them from several years ago, like a weekend of design on a dime, or others simular – PLEASE!
I agree wih the above. There seems to be very little on HGTV except people looking for housing in one form or another during the day. Where are the design shows? I don't often watch it in the evening.
I would love to see Nate have a show on HGTV. I also would love for some gardening, crafting, and sewing shows to return. Many of us want design shows, not shows where young couples are looking to buy houses that will require no work for them to do when they move in.
What DID happen to all the gardening shows? I love Yard Crashers, but would certainly enjoy a diy gardening show again. Also, I agree you should grab Nate asap.
I have not been watching as much HGTV as I once did. I cannot watch another round of house hunters and that seems to be all that is on any more. I love the decorating shows but haven't seen anything interesting in months. Please go back to the original programming before you loose your audience forever.
I just got Direct TV. I get to finally see HGTV again, but what is with all the house hunting shows.I agree it seems to be the only show on. Please give us all some new shows to watch!
yes I to have growm to sigh everytime is see another house hunters I miss my family with all the decor shows, I have been watching this for so many years daily ,really miss rate my space to he and many of the decorators have been my family for so long and now its like a treat to see a decor show and and nice as she is really not a fan of megan, love antonio ,candace ,david and others im not mentioning

When watching the segment on Nate, I saw the lighting fixture, over the dining table. Whose is it? Also, what brand of windows did you choose for the sunroom? They look like what we are going to use in our new room.
