Currently my patio is full of plants (vegetables and flowers) and a few places to sit.

I've decorated my large front porch with a white wicker set on one end and the good old rocking chairs on the other end which would look better with these colorfull pillows.

The porch has oversized glider chairs with huge cushions. Containers, plant stands and hanging pots of flowers, herbs and ferns arranged in a " Wecolme I mean it!" statement.

The key is romantic and relaxing ambient lighting. Christmas lights wrapped around the canopy do the trick just right.

  6. Nina says:

a big umbrella, table & chairs and lots of plants. Hopefully, they will grow.

I recreated a modern cement patio bench I saw in a magazine by layering cinder blocks then covering it with a stained wood board and decorative cushions, came out great

That sounds lovely! Right now I have 2 Adirondack chairs, an oval occassional table, a 6' wood bench, a small grill, a birdbath and a planter, all on the patio out back. The porch in front has a round white table and 4 Adirondack-style chairs, in heavy plastic. Those chairs have small pillows. It's not always easy to decorate outdoors in the desert!
